jackson: Bought this for my daughter's dorm room. We are all about quality and esthetic & this fits the bill! The great thing is that it lies flat! I know that sounds obvious, but it's not really. The cord is of good quality and the base is heavy enough. Plus it has enough outlets & ports (we put one under her bed and the other at her desk).
I recommend.
