Joe: It's fake grass.

I bought this to keep the backyard cat busy when it's too hot or rainy for its daily stalks around the perimeter of its territory.

Grass came flat and shorter than pictured, which the cat complained about until it was dusted with catnip.

Andrea VelardeAndrea Velarde: The media could not be loaded.  We started getting these pads since we got our little Max back in May. They made potty training SO much easier, especially since he was a puppy and we had to take him out every hour or so at the beginning, and he struggled with his collar and stuff. We got a tray to lay it on and make it easier to clean, because the grass itself isn't really that easy to. Eventually we started putting pads underneath that we dispose of at the end of the day since he just goes out on the pad early in the morning and if I have meetings during the day. These pads have been a lifesaver! I do wish they were always the same size, because it's always way off! Other than that, I would 100% recommend getting these, especially if living in an apartment!

Kirsty McGrorty: Bought this for my older dog experiencing issues with incontinence. Hoped that it would give her a safe place indoors to resort to while I'm at work. Section of turf is very thin and the underside is manufactured with numerous holes. Not suitable for accidental indoor peeing. Not easy to clean, as you have to hose it down to fully wash. Making it next to impossible in the winter months. Save yourself the money and purchase potty pads instead.

but the size just is not good for larger dogs, you would need to get 4+ for them. I have a husky cross I bought 2 and its okay but definitely would need 2 more for a more comfortable space. if your looking to just use it in 1 spot for training a puppy it would be ideal. but if you have a yard with no grass and looking to substitute some of the yard for these definitely get at least 4 if you have a larger breed

MS: We have tried other brands of artificial grass and our 13 year old dog avoided it. We live in a condo, so wanted something out on the balcony for when the weather is nasty. When I put the "grass" down, I put my dog on it and she sat down. That was the first step as I expected her to jump off. Every time we went outside, I collected some of her pee to add the scent to the "grass". It was easy as we have snow, so I would scoop some up in a bag. I had to do this 5 times before she went to smell the "grass". I was shocked when she actually used the grass. We are quite happy with this product. I might buy another square as our dog likes to walk around a bit before finding the right spot to do her business.

Meg: I ordered this because we live on the third floor and our dog loves grass so we wanted to give her something to lay on while hanging out on the terrace. She does not seem to like it all that much and many of the sides are frayed/have loose strings which is too tempting to a playful pup. I recommend that you do not open this while inside as it leaves a ton of black dust/bits all over (which then your puppy might try to eat) so it is best to open it up outside. We also thought about leaving this inside by the back door for her to lay on while she looks outside, but it is too messy to keep inside. The feel of the grass is fine and I am sure it works for many people, however, we were hoping for something better.
