Wrote a review originally because the cable had stopped working after a year, but it turned out to be a software problem that was working with one ethernet cable and not another (this one). This cable is long, cheap, and still works fine after all.

Needed this to go up and around a room to connect my switch to the test switch across the room. Worked perfectly. If you have to cut and attach new RJ-45 ends, the interior wires are a bit thin, but once done, PERFECT connection. For the price, I could not recommend this product more highly.

I bought this because I was sort of stingy with prices, and finding a 50 ft Cat5 cable for a reasonable price was difficult for some reason. The quality is lacking for certain, in terms of materials. It is extremely light, almost as light as a cheap telephone line, and the housing was very thin, to the point of actually being able to feel the cables inside. That being said, it does what it should, just fine from what I have experienced, but if you plan on running this somewhere that can say be stepped on, I would not recommend it due to it's flimsy nature.

I upgraded my main router...still limited to under 100.
I bought these cables to run new ethernet for my entire home network. They even say "gigabit verified" on the cable jacket. Speeds still limited to 100.
I even experimented with another ISP's service and could get 500m/s out of their router via wifi but only 95 via ethernet. I ran another of these cables (I bought several at the same time as spares) and still had the speed limitation.
Finally I went to lowes and bought a legit contractor-grade cable and boom, instant full speed. So these junk cables were the cause of my speed limitation the whole time and caused me to spend hundreds of dollars and dozens of man-hours unnecessarily.
