styree: We bought these so the kids could communicate with us from their bedrooms at night, to limit the amount of times they are getting out of bed and to help curb night time fears of being away from Mom & Dad. They have worked great for that purpose. They kids also love using them during the day, and we no longer have to yell up the stairs to get their attention. We just call them on the walker talkies. They have also been nice to have outside. We have a large yard and we have been able to chat on the walkies from opposite sides of the yard. One downside is one walkie already doesn’t work because of the battery coming out at times, so we will have to talk to the manufacturer or return and replace, but the other 4 work well. Overall these have been great and they are also customizable so we can remove sounds we don’t like or change them.

Wesley Stewart: The batteries do not stay in, and when they do it kills the battery quickly. It work like a pro when it is working.

Neil Engel: These little walkie talkies are great and work wonderfully. We've only had one minute issue which we were able to correct with a dried baby wipe, the batteries and the battery cover have a small space that can sometimes show the batteries to pop up just enough even with the case still on to cause then to not get power. Super easy and quick fix and the kids love them and they've worked well even while one is inside a concrete apartment building and another unit is either on the ground floor or roughly 1/4 mile away at the trash point.

Neecy89: Pros: Sound clarity, ease of use for kids 5 yrs of age, flashlight feature, ability to lock on channel, good holding size for children (5+) and adults, battery life seems reasonable so far (frequently used over 3 days - often left on and bars still full but this is with use of energizer max life batteries - dollar store brand batteries likely to die quickly)

Sorta Cons (possibly attributed to human error): Kids werent able to use the lanyards as much as they wanted because we often needed to access the batteries. Fully functional batteries in place but walkies sometimes wouldn't turn on with power button so we figured out to open the back and push them down or roll them a little then it suddenly turns on and works fine.

Also be cautious of other frequencies. If you do not lock it, the children will scroll to other stations and talk to a trucker. This of course can be remedied with assuring you lock it in.

Overall Recommendation: I like these and would purchase again. Not sure of distance quality but using them from different rooms at a resort worked fine. These are good for family trips if kids or even adults want to stay connected if in different rooms
