Kyle McMahon: Purchased this for our 4yo. The pictures are great and it’s full of information. I was a little skeptical because it’s not real stories with a plot but he loves it as do I.

Harold Manback: Being true stories, these are somewhat educational, so I give credit for that. They are also kind of poorly organized and not mostly written as "stories" as such (with a plot, beginning/misdle/end, etc. ) They are more just sections with little blurbs about each topic. Even so, they're okay. Just not as engaging for a 5 year old, even one interested in science.

Michigan HikerMichigan Hiker: First thing first. In some reviews, people complain that the title is deceiving and that the stories in this book are not for bedtime. Well, that depends on the point of view. There's no rule that says that bedtime stories have to be about fantasy, princesses, cute talking ponies or animals. A bedtime story, for a lot of us, it's something that can be read in bed, to bond with your child, and to relax and slow down after the day, a story that can be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. And this book certainly does that.

So this book is not about your typical "bedtime" story. What it is about is 30 factual or historical stories that can be read in less then 8 minutes or so. In fact, some stories take less than 5 minutes as they only cover a couple of pages.

The stories are about time for bed or what happens at night. If your child is into science, history, nature, things like that, they will enjoy it most definitely.

There are stories about where ancient cultures slept and how they did so. It explains and teaches how other cultures sleep or what they do when the day comes to an end. How animals sleep or hibernate. How it is winter in one hemisphere and summer in the other...

MJ: While this is not bed time fairy tales, this is an awesome set of basic quick reads on tons of engaging topics. If you have a youngster that asks a lot of questions about the world around them and is excited to learn more, this is for you. The depth of each topic is not so lengthy and dry that a child would easily get bored. The pictures and facts are fun and the little bit of written imagery to highlight the facts is very well done. For our 5yr old who loves learning about new things on many topics, this is awesome, even for bedtime, since the topics are short and enjoyably. Great work!

Gary R. Munn: I like that this book is fact, not fiction. She is old enough to learn new things and begin to appreciate History and Science.
