tall traveller: This is my second cover from this manufacturer. The first one started ripping along the corner pieces early this summer and now has several rips. While I could say I'm gentle taking it off the grill, I do believe the rips are more in line with the corners combined with the amount of sunlight here in central CA. I note that I always wait until the following morning to recover the grill to avoid any residual heat.
The first lasted almost 3 years, and I expect this one to last at least as long based on the material and overall quality. We usually get over 20 days with temps over 100 F here, along with lower humidity. I would really expect significantly longer life in areas with less heat and more humidity.
Seems like a very good investment to cover your high initial investment in the grill.

CallMeChaz: I was exceptionally pleased with this 55" grill cover, especially at the very reasonable price. I will be using it under a covered porch, so I cannot comment on the waterproofing or sun-fade resistance. (From experience however, I would assume it is highly water resistant as it is a quite durable material and has a solid vinyl backing.) It's flexible enough to easily spread it around my grill, but heavy enough that I cannot imagine it tearing or puncturing while handling, or even in a severe wind (which we DO get).
The main seams appear to be single stitched on the outside, but underneath are actually double-stitched and tape-welded. The only single stitching is the bottom trim piece which takes no strain. For wind retainment, there are two, long and wide velcro straps. It has stayed on during several storms that blew down nearby trees!
Size-wise, it readily fits my 52" Weber Spirit E330 grill without looking floppy. Due to the way it is build it should easily accommodate a few more inches on either end. Based on the medium-heavy weight of the material and good construction, I would highly recommend it.

Louis: Light material with perfect fit. Just put in on the BBQ. Will see if it lasts the season especially in our harsh winters. Very reasonably priced.
