Robert Meyers: Much lighter than other carriers we have had. Only complaint is the slats on the ramp bent under the weight of our scooter the 1st time we used it. It is also somewhat difficult to assemble.

Dr. Steve: I used it for carrying a Cricket two passenger scooter. I had to move the steel mount to the left for balance purposes but it all worked out fine! Went on a trip of 3K miles and had no issues at all. Pretty light for installing and storing. More rugged that I expected. I recommend this item.

DONALD B.: It's aluminum and light weight. It does not fold per say, the ramp is wide enough for my power wheelchair, the ramp
folds up and it is simple to use. I would recommend also purchasing a hitch pin lock so it can be locked to a vehicles hitch, eliminates the worry of someone stealing the ramp.

Michael Gadbois: Too much assembly, nuts and bolts stripped easily, very soft materials. Ultimately after a lengthy session I had it together and it more or less did what it was supposed to. I bought this with the intention of using to transport a snow blower short distances, between a few properties, I was not confident it would have survived the season. For its price tag, it should be more durable and definitely should be easier to put together.

J'aime Morgaine: My brother and I were able to put this together in about an hour, but only 4 stars because no tools were included, and the instructions were not very clear. But when we took it layer by layer, it went together easily. I bought star lock washers to add to the structural nuts and bolts for some added stability, although the locking nuts may have been enough. I love the extra safety features: the reflectors AND the stabilizer bar that makes the carrier ride "rock solid." My brother was very impressed with my purchase, and the local Home Depot workers admired the carrier, taking photos to compare with their own carrier with which they were less than pleased. A fantastic value. I am very happy with my purchase.

Michael HsuehMichael Hsueh: I got someone’s returned item which is fine because I got a huge discount from amazonwarehouse deals. It was a bit scratched up and dented. Who cares? All the pieces were there.

The big pieces are riveted together well. Assembly is easy but may be time consuming. There is just the one image in the manual but it’s all common sense to install. Reverse the diagram if you want the ramp on the other side.

I used it to move around a 200 lb snowblower. It easily handles the load. I reversed the snowblower up the ramp so the handle would be out of the way of the ramp. The aluminium boards did not bend or buckle. However, I would not put 500 lbs on that. Something might break if you hit a big pot hole and your load bounces up and down.

I wish the hitch went deeper into the receiver to minimize the torque on the hitch shaft. I’m going to drill another lock hole in the hitch shaft so that I can push it in another 4-5 inches for better stability.

It’s a easy one man job to install or remove the carrier. It’s fairly light weight. The ramp does not fold into the carrier. I remove it for storage.

The anti rattle device that I received was not the one...

Kamain: You can tell this is a good quality product. Great in the weather. And does the job well. Several complaints. The slats that hold the barrier around are easy to bend. Onr hole on the ramp wasn't drilled properly so I can only use one pin to hold the ramp up. (Believe me I've tried to get the pin through on it's own. It doesn't work)
Assembly was challenging because you just have a drawn illustration of the screws but the bag the screws come in aren't labelled.
The tie down hooks dont seem as sturdy as they should be but they take punishment very well..
