The actual flap is pretty small. It’s a good thing there are 4 because one of the handles already broke off of one of them. I do like that they telescope. It makes for easy storage but not good quality. At least they’re cheap!

If you’re using these daily to kill bugs, don’t let the cheap price fool you. The rod is retractable. If used even with care, these little metal pieces that a holding each part of the rod together will fall out and the rod will come apart, rendering the whole thing useless. What stinks, is that the plastic mesh part is well made, and sturdy. Will not be buying again.

I love the stainless steel, retractable handle. It is sturdier and more environmentally friendly than the swatters with plastic handles.
That said, you cannot pull hard when extending it... or else it can come apart in two pieces, as happened with one of mine. And unfortunately, I could not get the handle to go back together, so had to exchange all four for a new set. Luckily for me, I was still within my free return/exchange period.
I also like that they are more compact than the average swatter. They can easily fit into small drawers.
Although you may not think you need four, I've found it extremely useful to have that many, so I can have them handy in multiple rooms. Telling flies to wait where they are until you run and get a swatter from another room doesn't work so well, haha.
