Julie S.: Due to an accident I have three big fancy goldfish and an equally large pleco in a 50 gal tank. Way overcrowded but it may be several more months before I can get the tank they need. Needless to say it has been impossible to keep the water clear. Just a few hours with just one of the double sponge filters and the water is crystal clear. Almost forgot how gorgeous my fish could be and I think they appreciate it too😁

Julaine: I have had fish tanks for a long time and have been through all different types of filters. I recently decided on a shrimp tank but was worried the little guys would get sucked up into the filters. Found these and they are a perfect solution since I don't need too much filtering. The shrimp actually sit on these filters to get the excess food that has been sucked up onto them. To clean, you need to just pull them off and run them under the water spicket while squeezing out the dirt, then slip them back over the filter unit. I even use them for my small community tank that is made up of mostly tetras. This four pack was only a couple of dollars more than the two pack I had previously purchased. I already had quite a few air pumps, so I just ordered more tubing and that's all you need. As for noise, these won't make any. It is the air pump that makes noise and unfortunately, all air pumps do. I looked on YouTube and found some ideas to quiet some of the noise on the air pumps. I have one of these filters in my 10 gallon, and two in my 40 gallon community tank, along with a shrimp filter.
