Travis Wilson: I know they're cheap, but they have worse range in our neighborhood than I expected. I get about a 500 feet before they lose signal from each other. Maybe it's caused by interference from other houses, but I expected more.
Nonetheless, they're sturdy, well made and easy to use - our 3 year old can use it with ease. Audio is crystal clear. The flashlight is a nice touch.
Note that it doesn't scan the US subchannels, just the EU main channels.

Dan B: Got these for camping, and they are a great investment. My kids loved the fact that they could talk with mom, dad, and the grandparents, even when we were not all together at the campsite. The clarity of the voices were clear, and we didn't have any interference, even with 100's of other campers and RV's around. The battery life, exceeded my expectations, since on more than one occasion, found a walkie sitting around still on after 5 - 6 hours, and it never seemed to drain. Didn't go too far on the coverage, but again worked for for us, when we were around 1 -2 miles apart at times.

Debbie: This will be a quick review. I bought these a while back when I was learning to backup a 35' trailer and needed a spotter. They always worked fine .Make sure you change channels a few times. Sometimes they bleed other chatter. But great distance and good for .25 mile distances during road trips. The distance between units does effect performance, but if you are on a trail or tagging along on a road trip; these were ideal. Love the call feature; alerts the other person to pick up the radio for a comm.
