gsxr: I like this for making sugar free, keto friendly maple flavored breads and desserts. This is a dark extract, flavor is not bad but could be better. The price is quite low at the currently listed price, much better here on Amazon than in my local supermarket.

DeeDeep: It would be so much easier to say what you Can't use this for, because I use it in so many ways. Anytime a recipe calls for maple syrup, use this. You'll be cutting the sugar and carbs out and lowering the glycemic index to zero. OK, so you might have to make a couple of adjustments. If your recipe is calling for Maple Syrup, then I add a little bit of GUM to the recipe. You can use any type like Xanthan. I use Glucomannon, but that's my preference, because it's the healthiest and most natural. That's just to add the thickness that is missing. If your recipe is just asking for a couple tablespoons of maple syrup, you don't need to be concerned, but if it says 1/4 cup or more, then you'll want to compensate.

OK, so what all can you use this for? I love to use a little in my Waffles or Pancakes with Crumbled Bacon mixed in. YUMMY!!. Then, you have to try it in Ice cream. WHAT?? You betcha! In ice cream, I like it with added Pecan or Walnuts. I also like to have some of those Hanson's Skinny Zero Calorie Syrups on hand and mix some of the flavors together with it to make unique zero calorie flavors. Blondie: I just received my maple extract. When I opened the delivery bag the extract bottle was all wet and sticky. The bottle had leaked out about 1/3 into the delivery bag. I am reluctant to return and exchange it for the hassle over $10+ but I'm not overly happy about it leaking. I plan to use this extract to make my own sugar free maple syrup and keto maple almond cookies. The maple smell is very good so I am looking forward to using and trying it.

V. Evans: you can tell that this product is distilled in alcohol but it has a pretty pronounced maple flavor also. once added to ice creams, sauces, oatmeals and desserts it tastes quite good. not sure why the complaint reviews about it. It is very up front that it is alcohol derived and that is why it will keep for a long time and have a good shelf life without being loaded with preservatives or chemical additives like the "simulated" maple ones. Am happy with this maple flavoring.

Catherine: Local groceries seem to have the same limited selection. Vanilla, Almond, Peppermint - no maple! (or others I also bought on Amazon). I can get this at a "Specialty" store, but it was twice the price - and more. I love that I can find these items here, and with Prime I don't have to worry about shipping - 2 days later it's at the door. I bake a lot and we love maple flavour. Great maple walnut muffins, maple cinnamon pancakes, maple glaze, maple nut drop cookies - I also like fat free Greek Yogurt and flavour it depending on ho I'm using it. This extract is lovely, and for the price I am happy with it.
