Evan_ack: Every year my dad and I have to bring down decorations for the holidays from the attic. Every time he went up there he would end up hitting his head on at least one of the beams up there holding the roof together. I actually timed it to see how long it would take for him to hit his head, and I think his record for the quickest is 28 seconds, and for the time without hitting his head was 3 minutes. With this hard hat, it's not preventing him from hitting his head, but it prevents him from getting injured while doing it. As a matter of fact he hits his head more now with it on because he doesn't have to worry about getting injured anymore. He did say it sits pretty high up on his head, but that could be a skill issue on his part since he probably didn't put it together correctly. So far we've seen no problems with this hard hat. I recommend, and so does my dads head.

js75016: There is no foam, even before you purchase it they show you only strap and the hat is in the package, I am surprise at people complaining that there is no foam maybe you should pay more attention to the pictures.
The assembly is very easy, people need to watch the video posted on amazon instead of writing false reviews that assembly is impossible. WATCH THE VIDEO. Extremely easy assembly.
The hard hat has 3 adjustable setting, again people are writing wrong reviews. THERE are 3 ADJUSTABLE SETTING AT THE 2 BACK STRAP of the hard hat, you can make it lower or higher.

Stan T.: I work for a stage company, building stages for various major artists, and I've used about 6 different hardhats from diff companies. Other than just the general heat of wearing one, this is by far the most comfy-while-snug hardhat I've ever worn. Only thing that would make me love this hardhat more is if it had some ventilation slots at the top, but that might mess up structural integrity from dropped tools/etc.
Usually, even with my buzzcut hair, hardhats grab/pull my (tiny)hairs, making it slightly uncomfy to take on/off, but I have no issues with that with this hat.
This hat also holds my headlamp well, despite it being shown/described for use w/o a hat, hard or not.

Also, and I'm sorry to say this, but if you don't get the instructions on the package...well... it's VERY simple. Look at the listed instructions and the pics that go with it. If you still can't figure it out, google/etc it.

Buster: If you've never assembled a hard hat before, just know the included instructions are ATROCIOUS and VERY confusing for something so simple. I've assembled quite a few hard hats but for fun decided to follow the instructions. Just, no. Toss the instructions and go straight to the internet or YouTube. Who would of thought something so simple would have such complicated instructions. If you've assembled a hard hat before, it'll be a breeze.

Instructions aside, it's a nice hard hat. I was able to mount lights, and the fit was quite comfortable. The color was a nice deep navy blue. In my eyes a good, quality purchase, but I just wish the instructions were significantly better.
It adjusts well, EVERYTHING you need is included (hard hat and suspension), no mounting hardware is included, but again most hats don't include this.

R. Koning: This product was exactly what I needed to do work in the exposed-beam attic in our house. I like the color being a botanist (think chlorophyll!). Having had a few bumps and scrapes and even slivers in my head, it was an overdue purchase. This is light in weight but strong. The suspension keeps the plastic away from your scalp for evaporation and good skin "breathing." The adjustments were fairly easy, but did take a few moments to assemble. The adjustment knob is simple to operate, and it allows you to have it on loosely or snugly as you wish. I does seem to have a very large size range. I'm 7 7/8 (huge) size so it was nice that it accomodates my head and even larger sizes! I don't know what the Uvicator Sensor is all about...but it won't matter for me...I'm wearing it indoors! Highly recommended.
