Logro aflojar el silicón; el único problema es que requirió de 4 aplicaciones hasta lograr un buen resultado.

BHall: This is the best stuff on the market for removing caulk from tubs / showers. Here is my review:
I removed glass doors from our kids bathroom shower that left 5 year old caulk residue on both sides and the tub ledge. ALOT of caulk residue! My first attemp at removing the caulk was with Goo Gone Caulk Remover from Lowes. Waste of money and time. Didn't work at all. Next I tried Goof Off caulk remover. That didn't work either. More wasted time and money. Bad smell with no effectivenes. Getting frustrated I then thought Ill use a product that is made by the same company that makes the caulk thinking they would have the secret formula for removing their own product so I tried DAP Be-Gone Caulk Remover. Again zero results. It does have a pleasant smell though but waste of money. Finally I read where the 3M 60343 Caulk Remover worked well for several others and I can attest that this stuff works! It has removed all of the caulk around the shower/tub. With that being said here is some advice:
1. Be generous with the 3M caulk
2. Let it sit for 3-4 hours
3. Use a good caulk removal tool (Alway 3 in 1)
4. Use alot of 'elbow grease'
5. Apply several times
6. Be...

GracieLou731: This product works well. I had tried to chip away layers of caulk in the tub using a putty knife, a razor, and a caulk remover tool, and didn't get very far, even after heating up the old caulk with a blow dryer as I've seen recommended. I read the reviews for this product and thought I would give it a try.
People had commented that leaving the product on for two hours per the directions wasn't enough time. I put a heavy bead on the areas of caulk I wanted to remove and let it sit for 24 hours. My experience was that the caulk did not come off in neat little strips. The remover turned the old caulk into a very soft material and it came off very easily with a putty knife and/or razor blade, like paint your scrap off wood furniture after you've used paint stripper.
The parts where there had been just a single layer of caulk were easily removed. The areas where layer upon layer of caulk had been applied are taking more work. I got off as much as I could with the first application and have applied a second heavy bead of the remover. I've used about half the bottle for the two applications.
I really like that the remover has little or no fumes at all. I still keep...

BKS: I ordered both the 3M and the Mckanica silicone caulk remover to remove silicon caulk a prior owner of my RV slathered all over the seams. It was impossible to get the caulk off using mechanical methods, boy did I try. The area of the RV I was testing on was a seam between a painted metal flashing and the fiberglass side wall. I applied the 3m first letting it set overnight. Some of the silicon was loosened and with some work came off with a scraper but there was still a good deal of silicone left on the surface. It seamed to only act on the very outer layer of silicone. The paint on the metal flashing came off as well, not exactly what I wanted but the instructions warned that this may happen. At this point I decided that the 3M was not going to suffice. I just couldn't take the time to re-paint and do multiple applications. On to applying the Mckanica. The Mckanica is a gel and comes in a caulking tube. After squeezing a little bit out on a plastic tray I applied it to the same area which proved to be too much for the 3M. After a few hours I came back and wow not only did the Mckanica take off what was left after the 3M application but the areas which were untreated by the 3M...

SimplyMe: I purchased this product to aid in the removal of a shower door track along my tub. The track had been in place for at least 30 years. I applied the product and decided to wait several hours (around 7). When I returned, the edges of the caulk were loose enough to score through. Also, the end of the track had already been slighty lifted so the product got under there a bit. I was able to shimmy a scraper under the end of the track and wriggled, pushed and pulled back and forth. Some of the caulk did in fact come out/off. However, I realized that the caulk was hard as cement under the track and had been spread under the entire length/width. I reapplied the product and waited 24 hours. I went back and repeated my process with the scraper. This time I was able to remove some more caulk - enough that I was able to pull the track up off the tub a bit to allow me better access with the scraper. I then reapplied the remover again and waited several hours. This time I was able to completely remove the track. It took LOTS of elbow grease and patience, but overall I am pleased with the product. I definietly would not have been able to get the track off with out the remover. I only wish that...

Billiam: I replaced our patio door and so I needed to remove 20 yr old caulking and this stuff really made a difference. The key with this product is you need to be patient and play the long game. I applied a bead of the product over the caulking, spread it over the surface (clay brick in my case) to ensure it was applied to all of the caulking, and then let it sit for two hours. Once the two hours was up, I applied another application and let it sit for another two hours. After that, it was significantly softer and much easier to remove, even flaking a little bit!
If you're trying to remove a fairly thick bead, I would try applying two applications (as described above), remove what you can and then apply more to the remaining bead.
