Abby: When first delivered I was slightly concerned upon taking envelope out of the letterbox as firstly was bent badly and all o could think is well that's ruined, then the weight and feel of the bag wasn't right either. As I undid the envelope I realised it was definitely totally empty, not even the order receipt like most amazon deliveries. After some automated chat frustration and being told to send the product back for a replacement I decided to speak to a person and explain. Within 5 minutes everything had been sorted out and I had the product delivered 2 days later, actually I'm there thos time. But we made a laugh and a joke about it being the biggest joke 🤣 book itself is some cheesey dad jokes bit my dad happy with it

Connor K.Connor K.: I picked up this book on a whim. I’m not a father myself (yet), but I am getting to that age (the dreaded late 20’s) where many of my lifelong friends are becoming first-time parents.

With this in mind, I thought this book might help me reconnect with the family-friendly humor I’ve lost over the years. As a millennial, dark jokes and pessimistic quips have basically become my personality, and I thought a throwback to a more innocent time might be a good pallet cleanser. Plus, if there are going to be more kids running around, I’ll need some new material.

What surprised me was how cathartic the book actually was. I’m not sure who the authors at DaddiLife Books actually are, but I feel like they really understand the dad of today. While the book is primarily dedicated to a fun list of daily dad jokes that touch on a wide range of charming and corny humor, there were other sections that really struck me:

seahunt: The reason I'm giving this 3 stars instead of 1 star is because the content I've been able to read looks pretty good. I read lots of Kindle ebooks and I usually find it easier to accommodate my need for a larger font. The formatting and difficulty navigating this ebook means I won't be sharing a joke a day. I'm glad I got it while it was free.

Specific things I don't like:
- Each page seems to be a scalable image intended to be viewed in portrait mode. The only way to make small text more readable is to zoom in and scroll, scroll, scroll. I prefer reading in landscape mode and the image scales to the width of the device, so the size of text is somewhat larger in landscape mode, but vertical scrolling is required to see all the contents on the page.
- The small text is worst in the sections titled "Introduction," "The Science of the Dad Joke," and "Perfecting Your Dad Joke Technique" making them unreadable to me.
- These small text sections might be easier to read on my computer, but trying to open this ebook crashes the Kindle application on my computer.
- There is no active table of contents, just unreadable thumbnails of pages at the bottom to scroll through...

Jonathan DaviesJonathan Davies: I was telling dad jokes long before I became a dad, so my wife bought this for me. The jokes themselves are exactly what you want from a dad joke - cringey, tut-inducing, eye-rolling. As soon as I got the book, we started by reading a joke from our family's birthdays. My son was literally burst out with laughter at each one, my wife was stood in the background with a facial expression that screamed 'Really?!' and our 10 month old girl sat by her brother laughing along too (although I think that might be to do with her brother's reactions, rather than the jokes!).

What I really love about this book, though, are the opening chapters which explore the science behind laughter and behind dad jokes, as well as advice on delivery from a professional comedian. I've come across plenty of joke books, but that element really sets it aside from anything else I've seen out there.

I've already ordered a copy for my dad for Father's Day, a copy for my brother's birthday and a copy for my father-in-law!
