Ali: I live in the Cayman Island's. I bought this as an added layer of algae protection. We have so much sun and heat here that the pool pumps run for hours to mitigate algae growth.

So as a cost savings measure I tried this. Does nothing of any consequence.

I appreciate my use is not the idea, but it did y hurt to try.

samantha: I recently purchased the Sun Heater Shield for my pool, hoping it would add some much-needed warmth to our swimming sessions. Unfortunately, this product failed to live up to its promises, and I'm highly disappointed with its performance.

No Heat Improvement:
Despite installing the Sun Heater Shield as directed, I noticed absolutely no difference in the temperature of my pool water. I had hoped for even a slight increase in warmth, but this product did not deliver. Investing time and money into a development that ultimately failed to fulfill its primary purpose took much work.

Not Worth the Investment:
Considering the lack of results, I cannot recommend the Sun Heater Shield to anyone seeking to heat their pool. Spending hard-earned money on a product that fails to meet even the most basic expectations is disheartening. I regret this purchase and would strongly advise others against making the same mistake.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, the Sun Heater Shield for pools was a complete letdown. It did not contribute any noticeable warmth to my pool water, rendering it ineffective and ultimately useless. Save your money and look for...

Paul L. George: I replaced my physical thermal pool cover with this product. It actually performs better than the old physical pool cover. The results are amazing. I heat my pool to 84 Degrees F. At night the temperature drops to 55 Degrees. If you look at the temperature 10 hours after sundown the temperature is still 83.5 Degrees F. The fact that it only lost .5 degrees with a 29 Degree difference, is better than any physical pool cover can do. I would typically loose 4-6 degrees overnight with my physical pool cover..

The other factor is that since the pool cover is always on you are getting protection 24 hours a day. You can never forget to cover the pool or worry about it getting too hot, because that just does not happen. You are also protected from evaporation. I have not added water to the pool all summer. I live in Mass and we get enough rain to keep up with the small amount of water we loose to evaporation. I am not sure how this would work in more arid areas. Before I started using this product I would have to add at least 1" of water every few days.

I am very satisfied with this product and have send it as gifts to other friends that have...

Amazon Customer: The liquid is chunky white milk.

I’m not a big fan. I will stick with the original product I used prior to trying this.

Jeff Liebson: When I first read about this product I was skeptical about its effectiveness but tired of taking the bubble cover off and on each morning when I swam. Decided to try it was only a few dollars and what harm could it do if it did not work since it only lasted for a week at a time. Full disclosure this is south Fl and it is now nearly November when the night temp is going down to the low seventies and 85 at noon. One week later without the regular blanket on, and the pool heater set for 84 for 6 hours a day, the temp of the water in the early morning is 81 degrees. The loss is 3 degrees in a week certainly swimmable temp. How it will work in the real winter when the overnight temp is in the 60's I do not know, but in the fall, this is certainly worth the money. Plus no effect on the filter or taste or smell.

cinz: Ok this stuff WORKS! I've been using it for only 3 days and here's what I did..but 1st the FACTS. We have about a 7,600 gal new build pool located in mid FL. Now even though it's Florida our pool has never really gotten above 86.1º max. It's a screened lanai which blocks a bit of sun (approx 10%) and doesn't see sun until about 1pm. Measured with a digital thermometer and checking temps since May our water temps have been around 84º overnight and averaging around 85.5 during the afternoons. Still too cold for my blood Lol. Swimmable but we wanted a bit warmer and without huge temp drops at night. I've been measuring temps almost everyday for the last 3 mos. We do have a solar blanket cover thats custom fit but what a pain in the A$$ so we don't use it..It's been really rainy this summer for months now so that hasn't been helping. So to sum it up with my conditions when it's sunny for days I can get 86.1º naturally. NOW since using this product I saw results the next day. Following the directions I added 4oz. after shaking directly to the skimmer and gave a bit more for good measure. At the time pool temp was about 85.5º and it was Friday 8/11. Keep in mind...
