Rocky Thomas: I wanted a set of metric line wrenches but since I rarely need them didn't want to break the bank. These look nice and work but are very bulky around the wrench end making accessing tight areas (like around line fittings) hard to get the wrench into. For comparison, I have Mac standard line wrenches and they are much slimmer and less bulky allowing them to go around fittings in tight spaces. Granted the Mac wrenches cost several times the price.
Bottom line these work fine for the price but as I see line wrenches as a "gotta work" tool I'll be upgrading to a premium brand set and retiring these.

C & A: After many, many years I finally gave in and bought these and the matching SAE set to do a complete brake line replacement on ones that had rusted on an Expedition. W/o a set of flared wrenches, you are a lot more likely to strip the nuts, particularly if they are rusted on (been there, done that! BTW, you must use the metric wrenches on metric nuts and the SAE wrenches on imperial [inch] nuts bc, although some are really close in size, you'll strip the nut if they don't fit super snug).
Tip: To avoid twisting and completely damaging the brake line when turning the nut bc they're rusted together (been there too!), repeatedly spray liquid wrench on the nut at the line end and use a pointed, angled pick tool to chip away at the rust before attempting to loosen the nut.

1 Tool At A Time: Great quality, good fit and finish.
I use these wrenches when I bleed brakes because It allows me to remove the wrench while the bleeder hose is still attached.

Ben07: If you are doing any sort of brake job, then this is a must have. I have rounded and broken off brake hose fittings and bleeder nipples when using only regular hex spanners. This tool gives a better grip and prevents rounding off the edges. I used this primarily when I needed to do a brake conversion on a 23 year old car. It's a little slippery to hold so you have to grab it well when it gets wet with brake fluid BUT this also prevents you from over-torquing and braking bleeder screws. Quality is really nice

Chris: These are cheap, so that's their pro. I was hoping I could get by using a cheap set of flare nut wrenches but I was wrong. The tolerances are pretty poor on these guys and there is some noticeable wobbly when you put them on a bolt. Also, the chrome job looks good, until you start looking at the actual open end area and you see some chroming issues.
Using these it stripped out my brake line nut real bad, it's not entirely the wrenches fault though. The threads were seized up badly and the threads on the bolt were badly scoured. Almost like someone had hammered the line in instead of wrenching it on properly. I will admit the only way I was able to remove the nut after it was stripped was by having to cut the brake line (it was getting replaced anyway) and putting the system in a vice and turning it with a 24-inch adjustable tongue and groove plier to pop it lose. So perhaps due to my situation, it was not the wrenches fault but someones poor installation from prior. Really took a lot of torque to get that bad boy off.
The wrenches did work OK on my other brake line nuts, but like I said there is some play in these, and it is noticeable. Will these get you by better...
