Chulavista: Okay this whistle is abnoxiously annoyingly loud. I mean it literally made me deaf for a few seconds when I blew it full breath.
So for me, its exactly what I need.

Jan K.: I often travel solo, and hike nature trails and other areas. You can blow into a whistle far longer than you can shout for help. This whistle is sleek, and produces a loud, shrill sound that will carry much further than your voice. Please note that this is note a water-proof whistle. I am well-please with the neck lanyard. As a reminder, if you ever need to use this whistle in an emergency, blow a series of three blasts, three times in a row, and then repeat.
