Jackson Gorilla: I had a clog at 30 feet so the regular 25 foot snake wasn't long enough, but I didn't need the 50 foot. So this was perfect. Be aware that as you go to longer and longer lengths, a thinner snake like this is going to struggle to keep it's rigidity as you push deeper into the pipe. So trying to clear a clog at the full length can be a struggle (you kinda just have to keep poking it).

Overall it worked so I'm happy!

M3: The directions that came with snake were terrible. I stretched the catch spiral on the end since I wasn’t sure what I was doing. Then I found a video online and once I had good directions it was super easy to use. Can’t complain about the price, much cheaper than a plumber. **Warning: be prepared for flying muck. Wear glasses and gloves, and keep mouth closed.**

mca: Product was effective. Saved me one or two hundo on a plumber, which even Jeff Besos would get satisfaction from. If you can't handle a little sewage on your gloves, you're not a real man. Only negative was my wife failed to give me credit because I made it look too easy. For five stars you gotta solve my marital problems. ShannonShannon: So my shower drain gradually became less efficient till I finally couldn’t put it off (nothing worse than having your feet hanging out in your dirty shower water).

I attempted the natural route first - multiple rinses of baking soda and vinegar. Letting it sit overnight on the final one. I even used boiling water for one of the post BS/V rinses (a common recommendation although it apparently isn’t a safe one for your PVC pipes - which I found out post rinse… oops). I thought it had at least helped and maybe it did for a moment- alas, the drain still left my feet submerged and I needed another method.

Following up, I used drano. Let it sit for the full 30 minutes. Did a good hot water rinse post. Surely, this is the answer. Chemicals that may also be damaging to the pipes… but I needed a solution. Unfortunately, somehow the lack of drainage got worse despite my best efforts.

Okay, so obviously this clog is stubborn. The idea came to me - my dad used to use something called a snake back in the day. Let me do some research…
