My main reason for getting thses is the Bic large bold pens don't work well when the temps drop outside. Actually at the 30's or below, they don't work at all. This pen has a semi bold ball and seems to not care about the cold, it just works and its CHEAP! Good deal.

These pens are very comfortable to hold with a soft touch all over them and a nice width. They write very well and the ink flows easily (black ink). The click feels very nice and satisfying. They are my favorite pens and you get a lot of them for a cheap price!
Inncase you're wondering can you change the refills/cartridges inside? Yes you can! It was difficult to unscrew the front tip by hand to remove the refill inside, so I used a tweezer / pincer tool and that made it easy.
This way you don't have to throw them out because you can just get simple fairly standard refills for them!

Works very well for "Rite in the Rain" universal note pads. Months later no smudges or wet marks during damp, cold and wet environments, especially in AK these do very well. However? these do not work very well in negative temperatures and that's a normal, but these still perform better than ball/gel that are regularly used for general universal writing purposes. Quality wise just plain simple well made to just use. For the price and amount I wish is was cheaper.
