Don't miss out on this amazing fire pit - visit the FIRESIDE OUTDOOR Store today! Mark: I’ve only used it once so far, so time will tell more about it’s dependability, but it was extremely easy to set up.
Takes literally seconds to assemble/disassemble, easy to clean with a wire brush and hose, and it’s light enough for even a small child to carry with ease.
I’ve read reviews stating that the sides melt. After using it once, I’ve noticed that some of the sides are blackened, but have lost no durability or shape. I believe that the individuals that experienced this likely had an improper load and/or unnecessarily hot fire going on.
As I continue to use it this summer, I’ll update this review if anything changes. So far, I like it a lot and feel like the cool kid on the block at the beach.

FiP: Product exactly as described, packaged well and exactly what we were looking for for a lightweight portable campfire. Would have been helpful to know ember shield needed to be ordered separately.

Average JoeAverage Joe: This portable firepit is great! We're very happy with this item: it's easy to set up, it's sturdy, and best of all we can have a fire anywhere practical. We do a lot of SUVRVing so it's nice to be able to set up a proper firepit in primitive camping areas as well as put the fire where it works best for us. I like that it's off the ground since established firepits are often damp/wet here in the PNW. I agree with other reviewers that noted the heat coming off the bottom is nice for cold feet. For this reason I recommend that a buyer consider getting a welder's blanket to set down (we're happy with our Waylander 24x24 welder's blanket we got here on Amazon, which rolls up and fits nicely in the carry bag) rather than the heat shield, which is about the same cost as the welder's blanket but seems to have mixed reviews. The blanket on the ground will still allow heat to migrate down whereas the heat shield attaches midway up. The added benefit that we found going this route was that we are able to use the underside of the firepit as a place to reheat/roast food. You can stick a cast iron skillet/griddle under there and make quesadillas and the like--we used it to reheat Taco Bell...

megamoody: I am a lover of outdoor fires. We camp often. We have a Solo Stove we take camping. I’m thinking this may replace it. This Pop-up Pit is so convenient. Easy to throw together and best of all, you can get a really warm fire going in/on it. We’ve recently hosted people in our yard for fireside get-togethers since this is the only safe way to socialize with Covid numbers rising again. The Pop-up Pit has worked perfectly for our needs. It’s not the most beautiful fire pit but who cares. With the Solo Stove (we have the smallest of the 3 sizes), my husband has to cut the logs in half lengthwise to fit. Not with the Pop- up. Also, you can feel the heat better with the Pop-up Pit. It’s kind of messy to deal with after. We’ve been spraying everything down with the hose and letting it dry before rolling it up and stowing it. But, fires are messy. It’s also more smoky than the Solo Stove. Other than that, I think it’s awesome. My neighbor asked me share the link for the product. Hopefully, it’ll hold up well. We’ll see.

MMC JLW: I bought this so we could enjoy a backyard fire with friends and not have to find a place to store a large steel fire pit when it's not in use. I also didn't want to catch my grass on fire like last year. When my friend Gary saw the Pop Up Pit he scoffed at it and said that it would become a melted lump of aluminum in the yard shortly after I lit the fire. Well it assembled easily and held plenty of wood. No blazing grass this time. By the end of the evening Gary the scoffer was heaping praise on the Pop Up Pit. When it came time to douse it, a bucket of water was all that was need to put out the embers. I wiped down the side rails, rinsed the ashes off the screen, and rolled it up. Now it's compactly stored and ready for the next backyard fire. Very happy!

ClaudiaClaudia: I have had this lil guy for over a year and wanted to get a good feel prior writing. I wasn't initially sure what to expect but it's wonderful! I got it for camping trips where there may not be a fire ring but I find myself using it more at home too! The mesh has held up great and I leave it outside most of the time. I don't overload it and try to put lighter logs on once I get my coals going good with sticks. The last couple weekends I have been burning downed limbs/sticks from recent storms. It is wonderfully light weight and comes with the nice carrying bag as well that is nice for on the go and it breaks down perfectly! I do not have any issue the minimal ash that comes thru the bottom (typically after it rains or I water down the coals). It is wide enough to put logs on and light to move if/when needed. I would definitely recommend! I was not paid for this review.
