Doesn’t move around a lot once installed. Only issue is that if the area you’re installing the item in isn’t the exact measurement of the item itself, you’ll have to saw off the amount you need in order for it to fit. It’s not hard to saw off at all but the edges will look a little rigged afterwards. Not a decor piece anyways so it doesn’t matter too much. Overall, it worked great as a replacement for our restroom.

John K: Most important to me was the fit, replacing an 1950's wooden towel bar. This is an exact 3/4" bar that fits those ceramic end pieces and looks good. I marked the cut with one end pushed hard into the receiver and the other end exact. The result made me have to bend the bar very slightly but guaranteed that nothing of the spring ends showed. very happy with the result.

Paul: Very good towel bar. Will definitely get you out of a jam. Only way around not using this replacement is to rip out and re-install one end bracket and get an original bar. I don't think you can find a better one. Didn't give full 5 stars only because it has more play than the original bar. It would be impossible to make a spring loaded end the same size as the bar itself.

Catgrass: It was easy to install (aside from having to have someone saw the extra length off for me since I don't own a saw). I can't rate it's durability since I just installed it but I don't see why it wouldn't last. That being said, I would have liked it better if it were made with a little heavier, more durable plastic. This is the only one I could find anywhere, not sure if any other company makes them.

Neil Lillico: The towel bar needed to be cut to fit into the ceramic towel bar holders that were glued to the wall by the house builder, but the spring loaded attachments allowed the bar to fit into place perfectly. A much cheaper option than pulling off the glued towel bar holders and repairing the wall.

Maddy: As far as plastic bars go, this does the job. There seemed to be some confusion about the actual length of the bar - I got one white bar that was 24" in length, not including the two springy end pieces. I had to shave off about half an inch to fit it into my fixed wall holders, which was pretty easy. It's sturdy plastic, but if you need to cut some off or shave off some of the end (or even rough out the square edges if you want) it comes off easily enough. I just used a new razor blade and it worked fine.
The spring pieces are removable but fit inside the bar firmly.
The bar is sturdy, it bends but only under significant amounts of force. Wet towels shouldn't bend the bar hardly at all, let alone snap it in half. It's sturdy.
No exterior metal pieces that I could see, so it shouldn't rust easily.
Took me five minutes to cut off some of the end and install it, easy process that anyone could do.

Kindle Customer: Easy to install w included instructions. Unfortunately had to reinforce this plastic replacement rod for towel bar w a square aluminum rod that fit snugly inside the plastic, as we have some thick, heavier weight towels -- which is one reason that the original (and heavier) plastic rod broke in the first place. (Even w.o. the heavier towels, would have reinforced this rod anyway, since:
1 - Per materials science, each and every time that any item flexes -- even very slightly -- the minute stress causes fatigue cracks. With repeated flexing (i.e. stresses), even the smallest microscopic fatigue cracks have a cumulative effect. So, suddenly, the item breaks completely.
2 - In order to minimize the flexing of the rod, the square, hollow aluminum rod should:
2.1 - Fit inside the entire length of the the plastic rod as snugly as possible.
2.2 - Be of a sufficiently heavy gauge (gauge is the thickness of the hollow tube's walls) so that -- placing your hands at the opposite ends of the aluminum rod -- you cannot flex this aluminum rod at all, even applying all your strength.

Michael Thornton: A magnificent piece of hardware! I broke my old one low and behold this one is identical. Wow those Chinese people can really pump these out cheap. Sub quality plastic but so was my old one. Would recommend this product to anyone, even if they don't own a house or really need it. Would also be great to hit someone or something with, so keep that in mind. You could also melt it and shape it into whatever you like.

Salemom: This product was exactly what I was hoping for. Our towel bar broke quite some time ago and we had recently painted our bathroom. If this product did not exist, a lot more work would have been required to remove the builder's towel bar supports as they are glued on very well. This product took 5 minutes to cut and insert into the existing supports. I'm so glad it is now available in Canada.

S. Martinez: This was easy to install and took minimal effort to fit into our towel rack. Our children cracked the original one that came with the house when we bought it (twelve years ago) last year and I didn't know they still made replacements for the rod for that model, as it is old. This white rod looks much better than the clear one that came with the house. It seems just as sturdy as the one that was here, so here's hoping it lasts at least 11 years as well! :) We didn't have to cut it down to fit, it was just the right size. - andrea
