Herbert moscoso: First time using these countersink bits. The bit itself didn’t brake, it was the drill that makes the starter hole that broke. It got a little hot then just snapped. I didn’t expect these to last forever, but at least through the first round. I inserted my own stronger drill bit in its place. Seems to be working.

Adam MAdam M: While I am open to most things being of inferior quality, I draw the line at items being not fit for purpose. The plug cutters supplied in the box had 2-3mm burrs, chipped and cracked cutting edges. The resultant plugs were grossly deformed and undersized and therefore did not fit/fill out the holes as meant to.

Amazon Customer: I bought this set to make walnut plugs as anything outside of maple or oak is hard to find and expensive. Everything arrived in good condition, and appears to be made of quality material. So long as one does not overheat the bits and burn the wood by drilling too fast, I suspect they will last a long time. My ideal plug cutter would cut a slightly tapered/conical plug so that it snugs up around the rim as I tap it into the hole leaving no microscopic gaps between the plug and surrounding surface that will show when light catches the final finish. These cut a straight/cyclindrical plug, so they're not quite what I was hoping for. The other thing that stands out is that the set does not include drill bits to make the holes that will fit the cut plugs precisely, so I'm left to find/supply my own. All-in-all I still recommend this set, but think buyers should be aware of these two issues.

Stan from Charlotte: Figured to would be a cheap set to use on current project then toss but they are well made and sharp. Used a lot on oak and still going good. Punch is a plus and even works on soft metal.

tom: The counter sinks, and plug cutters work excellent. The drill bit counter sinks bend when you tighten the bit it makes the smaller bits go out of round.
