Neosma: I’ve bought similar cat wands like this and the handle always falls off because they used cheap glue. This handle is connected well with no gaps that might indicate separation soon. It is a hard plastic handle, not foam or rubber. My cat plays rough, he lunges for the feather and body rolls onto the wire to hold it down. So far it’s held up to nightly play sessions for about two months. He loves the moth pattern toy. It’s a thin foam with the pattern printed. I think it’s the “eyes”pattern on the wings that gets him to attack it. The other attachments he’s not that thrilled about, but every cat is different.

Jennifer: My cats love feathered toys so they really feel like little hunters w this toy. The bells are annoying and I can tell they aren't big fans of them so i took them off.

Amazon Customer: I saw one like this at the animal rescue. I wanted one but they did not know where they had bought it. I have been looking for a year.
As all you cat owners know, toys break, usually within the first couple days, and you have to keep replacing them. This one is different from all others. To begin with, the toy comes with replacement parts: extra birdies, extra handle and extra elastic cords. After a few weeks of very aggressive play, I am still working on the original set of parts.
My cat loves this so much that when I try to play with her using her laser, she gives it a bored look and then looks at me. When I bring out this particular toy, she's very excited and she can play with it, and play with it, and play with it. It works well for me too because I don't have to be too attentive. It works kind of like fly fishing. I can flick my wrist any direction to get it to fly and she is entertained leaving me free to watch TV, read a book, and eat my lunch without "help." Because the birdie is attached to an elastic cord, when she catches it, if she relaxes her hold on it even slightly, it takes off again like a real bird, insect or rodent would.

Brian Knoff: This is an exceptionally popular toy with our 3 cats. I had purchased a wand before and then had to buy replacement attachments. Why do I say it needs work? I have one jumper cat and two chasers so the wands see a lot of use in dual roles. I have to Gorilla glue the handle onto the wand as less than 6 hours of play and cats tugging the wand is so loose it leaves the handle. Minor fix and I understand the wand should rotate some given the design. Now, all 3 cats chew the string to get the feather components separate. I have some heartache on this simply because its super cheap and can cause an issue if a cat eats the pieces of string. The clips, the feather components... awesome and durable. This all may sound somewhat negative but it is not. If all your cat does is lay on its back batting at the toy, this is 100% one of the best toys for the cat. However, ours purposely chew the string, one chases the end of the wand even if nothing is attached, and another drags it around the house like a teddy bear. The toys see a lot of use and abuse daily. Short of locking it away there's no keeping the cats away from the toy.
