Maggie: I've only used this heat tape when sublimating mugs and personally I think it is not as sticky as the yellow colored tape. I used them both on the same mug and the yellow just felt "more secure" in sealing the image onto the mug. Another "issue" was that I was sublimating onto a white mug and it is much easier to see where you've taped with the yellow tape than this clear tape. Bottom line for me at least is that I'll keep the clear tape for holding down designs that I sublimate onto fabric but I think I'll keep using the yellow colored tape for sublimating onto glassware.

Xm94mx: Smells kind of chemical. Don’t rip with your teeth! Learned the hard way while in a hurry. Sticks well and doesn’t leave a lot of residue. Size is good and adhesion is good. Need to get a dispenser bc it is hard to tear in a hurry

PatriciaE73: This tape does what it's supposed to do. I haven't used it a lot but the few times that I have it has not left any residue. It would be easier to use if I had a tape dispenser.

Derek Roth: Bought for use on a nikon lense rebuild as they use this type of tape in part of the assembly and it worked a real treat and now you'd never know someone worked on the lens.

Painterspalace: I've only tried 1 roll of the 2, it barely sticks to itself let alone anything else. I put it on heat block of 3d printer, also the hot end wires(big reds), heated to 210 for 5 min, let it cool and printed a model. Within 10 min starting the print, can see the tape separating from itself where pieces overlapped on the heat block and they are barely holding to the wires that don't even move or heat up. So a huge fail for 3d printing people looking for something to actually stick to a hot surface that is under the tapes rated top temp. It has separated enough from the heat block that I can see falling off and either sticking to a 3d print or causing a fail.

If your a 3d printer person, look elsewhere for something to enhance heat resistance.
