Felt dangerous using on the cat when trying to push the plunger as there was no control so the stick when far into the cats mouth

Tara M Bailey: Exactly what I needed because I was afraid to reach into her mouth. Doesn't work well with capsules because they get wet but excellent with regular pills.

Bruce A. Mallett: I have one dog that requires lots of pills, won't go near a pill pocket, and in general requires a great deal of struggle when administering a pill. I was hoping something like this would help.
It does not. The package included a number of rubber tips that are split in such a way as to grip the pill. All of mine in the package are the same size and only will hold the smallest of capsules. Forget it for larger pills.
Even with small pills I find the procedure is:
- Insert pill in the rubber tip
- Open the dogs mouth
- Pickup this device, bring to the dogs mouth
- Pickup the pill off the floor when it pops out on the floor or out of the dogs mouth when it does not
- Try again
- Give up and insert it in the dogs mouth by hand

It does work once in a while, but in the end mine went in the trash.

I am a veterinary student with a cat that has to take a lot of medication throughout the day. I purchased this product to make it easier to administer her capsules orally. It works really well, it is sturdy, and it very easy to clean. I definitely recommend this product. ***HOWEVER***
*****I do want to WARN users of this product that the removable silicone tip slipped off of the plunger, so while I was giving my cat her medications she accidentally swallowed the silicone tip. Luckily, she vomited the silicone tip on her own within a few hours. THIS PRODUCT IS A CHOKING HAZARD AND A FOREIGN BODY HAZARD. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN ADMINISTERING MEDICATIONS USING THIS PRODUCT. ENSURE THAT THE SILICONE TIPS ARE SECURE PRIOR TO ADMINISTERING MEDICATIONS EACH TIME. *******

Caitlyn: One of my cats takes a half of a small pill and this plunger works like a charm. My other cat takes a normal human sized capsule and it won’t fit and also won’t shoot out easily. It broke the capsule and I ended up having to throw the pill away. So if you’re needing this for anything human sized I would suggest something else

Clark: I recently purchased the Pet Pill Plunger Popper for use with my German Shephard. The order arrived within a day, which was a delightful surprise. The prompt delivery was much appreciated, and the package arrived in good condition.
However, the actual use of the product left a lot to be desired when it came to my larger dog. While I believe this device could potentially be useful for smaller animals like cats or small dog breeds, it simply wasn't a match for my German Shephard. The plunger wasn't quite long enough to fit to the back of my GSDs throat, and trying to deliver the pill turned into a bit of a struggle.
To my disappointment, I wound up dissolving his pills in water for about 15 minutes inside a syringe and shooting the medicine directly into his mouth. It wasn't the ideal solution, but it was the only way I could make sure he got his medications.
The product is well-built and the soft tip is a thoughtful addition, intending to make the experience less stressful for the pets. Unfortunately, it didn't work as well as I'd hoped with my larger dog. This could be a useful tool for smaller animals, but if you have a large dog like a German Shephard,...

Isobel : the product does what it's supposed to do, but the silicone tips that come with it are not clear so it's difficult to see if the tablets gone in or stuck (we have to use small tablets for our cat) and on the image shown they're clear tips where as these are like frosted? would have like to have had the described product

Deb. H: Does the job but be really careful to put the rubber “heads” on securely. I managed to shoot not only the cats tablet down his throat but also the whole head bit. Oops, luckily after vet consultation waited for it to pass naturally but our poor cat vomited it up the next day. About an inch or so of rubber/plastic must have been so uncomfortable for him.
