I pressure cook lots of batches of stock and use a lot of seasonings. Come time to strain, things like mustard seeds or a hunk of cinnamon would clog the strainer or cause splashes. I found these jumbo stainless steel things and love how the stocks are still infused with seasonings but fishing them all out is more of a breeze when scooping out all the solids before straining. I have to break down the cinnamon stick, but everything else fits just fine like seeds, peppercorns, star anise, etc. This solves my problem and is also useful for other applications, like infusions for water, and more. Being stainless steel, I run through the dishwasher as two separate parts, one in a silverware basket, the chain on the top rack and around a post to keep from binding the venturi arm.
