Mike: Thank goodness these crates are just as good as the reviews said they would be. They arrived early and were packed well. No problems. Very sturdy. Nice looking. They hold my LP's perfectly. I have to admit it still kills me to pay so much for an item we used to pick up free behind the grocery store :) But I think if you're going to pay for some crates for your albums, these are definitely the ones to get!

dnick926: I love these and have bought seven of them over the last year. They look good; while the wood is unfinished, it's sanded very well so they feel smooth to the touch; and they're perfectly sized for vinyl.

One note, though. Of the seven I've purchased over time, two arrived with a staple that hadn't been completely set into the wood (they secure the bottom slats to the four sides of the box), staples that would have scratched the wood floor in my living room, if I hadn't seen them. I set the staples, but I also put small felt pads on the bottom corners of each box - they protect my floor and now the boxes are easy to slide out from the wall when I need to sweep behind them even though they're holding 40+ lbs of records.

MrFlowerMrFlower: Exactly what I needed. A sturdy, affordable record crate. Dimensions are perfect with just enough wiggle room. As you can see from the photo I am using them on their side and they work very well. The records sit securely on the side of the box. even though they hang out a bit, they’re not going anywhere. No assembly required and no cheesy logo, unlike the one you can get from target. I also appreciate the quality of the wood. It’s got that nice pine smell. Arrived in perfect condition. I’m glad to be supporting this business.

Tejas Oasis Tech Reviews: Before purchasing, I had read the other reviews. So I purchased a double order, making it four (4) crates total. These are just as everyone describes. The sizing is perfect in that anything larger would make the overall design less strong.

There was one side rail of all the four crates that had come loose during shipping. This was not a big deal. I just aligned the staples and tapped the single rail back into the holes that had been predetermined.

And yes, given their design, if you intending to use these like shelving for your albums, don't go above two crates. The weight would be way too much for the lower crate.

Oh, in one final thing. I was quite surprised that there would be any of the rails coming loose during shipping, based on the method by which these crates were packed. The padding was all environmentally sensitive, with butcher block type paper crumbled and inserted through out the boxing to discourage any movement of the crates inside the large box. And there was a lot of this paper padding.

Overall, for the price and considering that these crates are all wood and not the plastised paper by-product assemblies being marketed elsewhere, I...
