2-Pack of 10-Ounce Munchkin Miracle 360 Sippy Cups

SimonR: I bought these for my lad with special needs, who has always used an Anyway Up Cup beaker, but you can't seem to get them anymore and the spouts leak on all the ones we have.

The first thing I found is that the screw lid goes about 1cm into the top of the cup, so you have to be careful not to over fill it. On testing, some liquid leaked out at first, but then the lid seemed to seal, and my boy managed a chocolate milk drink warily, as it was something new, but without any spillages.

Cleaning is a little bit of a faff, as whilst a quick rinse might do in between drinks, for a proper clean you need to take the rubber valve out, and also periodically clean the clear ring seal. With the old Anywayup Cups I just used to pop the lid off and chuck it in the dishwasher.

Since reviewing I've found two more problems with these. One is, every time it's dropped (or thrown!), It leaves a ring of liquid on the carpet or floor, so I am forever wiping rings up. Secondly, as the base is narrower than the top, it's knocked over quite easily, resulting in more rings on the carpet.

DmakadiaDmakadia: The media could not be loaded.  This is a great cup for older toddlers. My 16 month old does drink out of the cup just fine and he enjoys doing so but also likes to throw the cup with milk still in it. It may be spill proof but not splatter proof. Liquid will splatter out of the rubber rims. Otherwise easy to clean and good cup for kids that won't throw things.

NCB: I purchased these for my almost 1 year old grandson for Christmas with the plan to substitute for his bottles. It worked as soon as he figured out how to work the cup (less than 10 minutes before he really had it down). I liked the size of these for his age and they’ve been dropped, thrown, etc and no spills. Once we remove the inside “regulator” (Dentist recommends so whatever they are drinking doesn’t stick to front teeth) , I will update for spill-proofness.
The only thing I wish these had were removable handles like the smaller cups.

Brooke: I have used these 360 cups for my boys now for about a year and I will not buy any other sippy cups for them. The cups have handled the abuse from my toddler boys rather well and still function like they should. Some of them went MIA and when they were found, they were really easy to sanitize and clean. I read some of the other reviews claiming that the rubber band around the lid was impossible to remove. That would be false since I have managed to remove the bands from the lids every single time they are washed as well as the rubber tops that just pop right off. For those of you who have not figured out how to remove the band, you just need to pinch the band and then boom, you can take it right off. I should probably mention too that the cups are leak proof, not shock proof so don't expect them to not lose a little fluid when your kid launches one to the other side of the room and/or drops on it. Since this theory has been tested in my house a few hundred times, I can tell you that not a lot of liquid escapes from the cup during these events anyways.

you asked: The first sippy cup I purchased for our grandson was the type that had a little valve in the lid. The valves were a little more difficult to clean, but I found that if I used a small dental brush (used to clean between teeth) it fit perfectly down in the opening of the valve & cleaned the entire inside of the valve.

I wasn't a fan of the valve sippy cups as they often leaked, especially when you have a young toddler who hasn't learned how to sit a cup down properly. Our grandson loves ice water & with the smaller cups, I was constantly filling his cup.

I saw the Munchkin sippy cup at Walmart, so I purchased 1 to see if it not only my grandson liked it, but also if I liked it. I didn't want a sippy cup that would leak, or difficult to clean. After our grandson used it for the first time, not only did he like it, but so did we as well as his parents. I also like how much easier it was to clean, so I purchased 3 more.

Our grandson initially had a habit of laying his sippy cups on the side, on the table, sofa or wherever he was. His other sippy cups would often leak, but his Munchkin cups have never leaked, even when it falls over. Part of it is because of...

K. Goldsmith: I'm a huge fan of these cups because they are the only cup with this brilliant design that resolves the many problems I have with sippy cups. Most importantly they serve as a more natural drinking experience to help train for drinking from a regular cup than any of the others I've seen for the age range (my son is 14 months). The positions and gestures required are all the same as drinking from a regular cup, from the mouth and lip to the hands. I also greatly appreciate how easy it is to clean, with three parts total that are all large and don't include straws or gaskets. And am also shocked at how leak-proof it is. However there's still room for improvement which I hope future designs will solve. Fir the general shopper, just get it and stop reading here. If you're a nerdy designer trying to imagine the best cup that doesn't yet exist, read on for the fussy tweaks I wish Munchkin would implement.
