Get the best Greenhouse Ventilation Equipment with the iPower GLFANXINLINE6X2 2-Pack 6 Inch 442 CFM Inline Duct Ventilation Fan HVAC Exhaust Blower for Grow Tent. A P: After careful consideration of many 6" fans, I chose this one based on the price point and power (442 CFM) for my 4' x 8' x 7' grow tent.
The packaging was secure and it arrived on time. This fan is a BEAST with power and I've had to put it on an adjustable knob to lower the exhaust power and drastically reduce the sound. In my tent I have this set to ~30% on the dial I installed and it can quickly affect the environment as needed :)
Great purchase! Overall it's a definite recommendation from me.

Don Noseworthy: Product was well built and air flow exceeded my expectation. Unit is also very quiet.

Old retired man: I got this to replace and underpowered kitchen stove exhaust fan. This certainly has the power and sucks the fumes, steam etc. up out of the cooking area. The only problem is that it is a capacitor start motor and I can find no way to vary the speed. Therefore, it always runs full speed. Mine is mounted outside of the house 10 feet from the stove hood, but is still quite noisy when running which you wouldn't mind if you have a lot of smoke or fumes to suck out in a hurry but my wife would like to have a couple of speeds so you don't have to try to talk over the noise if someone else is in the kitchen while you are using it.

John S: I seriously don't doubt the CFM ratings for this whatsoever. It's a bit loud on high, but this is easy to fix (it's completely dependent on the ducting. No sound comes through the casing.
And it's definitely a solid machine. YES it leaks a bit of air around the sheet metal connection between the front and the back, but it's pretty sturdy (and heavy). TBH though, I'm amazed my unit still works and barely any vibration...
I've dropped it or it came loose and fell 5 feet and rolled another 3 feet more than once. Mine is 6" and is just awkward to hold and mount. And I put a single layer of gorilla tape or clear duct tape (not packing tape!) Around the 2 flanges. As they're only about an inch long.but semi rigid aluminum tube stays fine with a clamp. And definitely don't use anything less smooth like flexible ducting tube on the intake (see below). 12" and the blower sounded like it was really going, but it was barely moving 1/3 of what it's rated...
The mount is nothing to write home about and it's good enough to mount on bungee cords hanging from a 12" L-Bracket right to a stud (it definitely vibrates on different speeds. (Get a $5 controller from Amazon. My first one...

Jeremiah Bruley: We used this product to exhaust welding smoke from our building. Fan is very powerful and for the amount of air it is moving it is not that loud. Could it be quieter...yes of course, but it fairs really well for what it is. Motor housing is steel and very solid built. Comes with regular 110 volt cord end for ease of use to simply plug into an outlet. Unit is very well balanced and did not wobble or make any noises what so ever that it was not said to. Unit is pretty light and can be used in many different settings due to its design. I would recommend this product all everyone looking for a great motor with an economy price!!!

Petitgars: I needed a powerful inline fan to blow smoke out a 6" duct for special effects on a Mutant Vehicle.
I mounted the fan horizontally with an 8" long intake set at 90 deg and an exhaust duct 6' long. When running, the fan has no trouble at all in blasting out a column of smoke 10- 15 high.
The fan body is made with heavy gauge stamped steel; the fan blades are made of some species of plastic and are well protected within the body. It is hefty but solid with this construction. I dropped it in error, but no damage occurred. Running at full speed the fan sound is not excessive and there are no vibrations.
It arrived within a few days of ordering, well packaged and padded precluding damage en route..
In sum, this item is a good value for the money and performs as advertised.

Yuri G: I used this fan on different application, not on duct system. This Fan Blower helps me to dry glasses faster on commercial dishwashing machine.
Like it!
Thank you.

John B: This is an incredibly nice fan for a 6". Used with a speed adjuster (I purchased an Active Air ACSC Duct Fan Speed Adjuster) you can make it as quiet or as effective as you need. If you do turn down the speed, you can expect it to start up very slowly, since it is a centrifugal fan. For that reason I'd recommend never giving it less then half power/speed when using an adjuster with it. If you want to quiet it down further, you can either get a leather jacket for it (some models are sold with them), or make one yourself. Bear in mind it will raise the temp of the fan when using as hot air exhaust, if you do use a jacket.
It is a little larger than I expected, but that's just my inexperience with this level of hardware. With a setting of halfway it moves more air than I need, and is little more than a hum in the background. It heats up during use since I have it as a hot air exhaust fan, but it's construction lends itself well to this purpose. It can take quite a bit of heat and keep spinning happily.
It stabilizes and makes less low end noise when it is running at top speed, but more general noise as you'd expect. Overall very happy with the fan and would recommend it...
