Braxton Gray: I'm using these as the power hookup for my amplifier for my subwoofers in my 2010 Xterra. I like having the ability to remove them for extra storage space and I was a little concerned that these seemed to be basically the only product that would do what I wanted. They don't have instructions that come with them, but if you're looking at purchasing these I assume you're the type of person who can figure it out pretty quickly. The short version is you strip your wire, insert it into the connectors that come outside of the plastic housings, then solder them in and insert the connectors into the housing so they engage with the spring plate inside. **Note: Do NOT insert the connectors into the housing before soldering or you're gonna' have a bad time getting them back out**
Once the plugs are assembled they are super secure and effective. The spring plate on the inside of the plugs make sure they have a solid connection and require a good amount of force to actually remove, ensuring they're not going to jar loose on you or come unplugged. Aside from the instructions these connectors are excellent.

Mountain Man: I used these with 8 awg wiring from an air compressor. They are well built, click together solidly an the rubber caps fit nicely and don't wiggle off.
Unfortunately there are a lot of these that look identical for sale, but they are slightly different and do not connect to each other. So if you bought one set and want to buy another set to work with that one, more thank likely they wont work. But you may be able to pull the wire/terminal out of the old one and put it into the new one which is what I was able to do.
A great improvement for these would be to have a screw down crimp connector so that you could change out the wire when needed since I dont think you can source the individual terminals without buying another complete set.

Oscar S.: I used these connectors as a quick disconnect for the battery on my popup camper. Wire gauge was 10AWG. The terminals seem to be big enough to accept even larger wires (8AWG and maybe even 6AWG). Crimping down the terminals is impossible. I tried it in my bench vise and the wire still slid out. You will have to solder instead (I used a small solder torch). The product did not come with any instructions. You will have to look closely to see how the terminals need to be installed in the connector housing. If you insert them upside down, they will not work.
To protect against water/dirt ingress, I used hot glue to seal the wires at the back of the connector housing. Opening the connector requires some force, but can be done without prying with a screwdriver. It was easier to open the connector before I used the hot glue, probably because the terminals then have more freedom to slide around a bit inside the housing..
Item shipped fast and works great. Feels durable. A little pricey though, and no instruction sheet. So I give it 4 stars.

Austin K.: I'm using this for a trolling motor connection. 8 gauge wire left plenty of room to spare - 6 gauge probably would have been about right, not sure about 4 gauge. I'm not sure what kind of heavy machinery people are using to crimp these contacts, but the parts have incredibly thick walls for every-day tools to crimp. My 35 Watt soldering iron couldn't get hot enough to effectively solder the connections, so I ended up "crimping" (i.e. smooshing) them with a vise grip until they held and then heat shrinking around that. During the "crimping" process, the silver(?) coating flaked and crumbled off the parts. In the end, the parts were functional, but it was perhaps a bit more of a hassle than it needed to be. I don't understand why they could not have used thinner crimping walls... just like about every other terminal connection out there.
The PC housing is very tough and installation and it takes some firmness to complete the installation, however it is quite easy once you've got the wires secured in the contacts. Yes, once the housings are connected to each other, they are very difficult to pull apart - it's how they're supposed to be.

Don Sturgiss: Works well altho slightly stiff to put together or take apart. Thru-holes in plastic can be used to fasten connector to something (one side of connector is flat for this purpose) or, by running a plastic wire tie thru, to force it to stay together (have seen both methods used, altho for different purposes). 6 Gauge wire does not quite fit (you have to remove a very few strands) but I will ream out/drill out/file out/Dremel out the next set to attach to 6 Gauge to handle that.
I use these for extended-run battery boxes for UPS's and the quick disconnect makes it easy to charge up/attach different battery banks to the UPS's. I use a "ladder" ("Y") wiring arrangement to attach multiple battery boxes to a single UPS.
