DanDan: My dad played small town Iowa baseball in the 30's and 40's. Unfortunately his glove went missing when he moved from Iowa to Arizona about 25 years ago. This Shoeless Joe glove is excellent quality and looks just like dad's!

Erich L. Ruehs: This Shoeless Joe item modeled after the style glove players wore almost 100 years ago is a wonderful trip back in time. Moreover, it's fun and effective when playing catch! My 7-year old boy thinks it's his grandpa's glove and likes using it. And, as a coach to dozens of young players, I've noticed this throwback tool actually helps my younger players catch with two hands! Since there is no modern day "pocket" the youngster catching the ball must use both hands in order to secure the ball. I've also found the older players gain benefits by playing catch with this classic glove. Since the "catch zone" is so small, relative to modern gloves, one must ease the ball in gently which emphasizes the concept of soft hands. And to even the casual baseball historian, the Shoeless Joe 1925 fielders glove is a time-machine trip back to Heaven!
