JID: Rock N Roll is the only bicycle chain lubrication product that I will use on my bicycles. I ride on road and off, traditional cycles and e-bikes! This chain lubricant is an excellent protective product for any chain driven bicycle, tricycle, and electrics...NOT FOR MOTORCYCLES...When used a directed it dries clean, clear, and dry filling your chain linkage, bearings, and metal parts with much needed Teflon to keep dirt and water out while providing excellent drivetrain shifting and a nice quiet ride.

Cleaning a chain coated with this product is easy. In most cases just wipe and reapply as directed!

Derek Worley: The product is wonderful. There are a couple issues that if you get the chain wet, you need to reapply.
The packaging for me was perfect. There were quite a few reviews in the past that mentioned damaged product in shipping. Maybe they’ve upped their game or maybe I got lucky, but I am highly satisfied.

The Casual Mountain Biker: I used this during our extremely rainy and muddy PNW Spring. I was very impressed with how clean this kept my chain as well as making it run smooth. It's not so much an oil as much as it is just a cleaner cleaner that leaves behind some kind of Teflon coating or something. Whatever it is is works well. Just follow the application instructions. They have you wipe off the excess thoroughly which I think is key to preventing dust from sticking to the chain.

Ryan hale: I’ve worked in bike shops from 1994-2004 and I’ve ridden and raced in all kinds of conditions, on all kinds of terrain and all kinds of bike races. Today, I own and operate a pedicab company and maintain my pedicabs with this. This is the best lube I’ve found. Back when dry lubes first came out, I made the mistake of using dry lube on an epic one day ride that had rain, dust, about a dozen stream crossings and a ton of hills...it wasn’t long before my lube was gone off my chain. The rain and streams took the dry lube off. I hate attracting dirt with traditional lube but at least it resists water. This is a dry lube that doesnt gunk up with dirt AND is water proof.
Second, its also a cleaner. Seriously! You put it on a dirty chain liberally, then get about 4 or 5 rags, you wipe and wipe and wipe and wipe. You can’t wipe it off. You end up wiping all the grim away, but the lube stays where its needed at the pivot points on the chain (the bearings). I’ve stopped using a chain cleaner and degreaser when I clean my bikes and just do the apply and wipe. I put it on my kids bikes, my mountain bikes, my road bikes and my businesses’ pedicabs for work.

dMoneyDizzle: I've been using Rock N' Roll Extreme for years. Usually apply it every couple rides or after rides when things get wet. I will wipe down the chain and gears/derailleur pulleys with a rag, give the bottle a good shake, and crank the pedal by hand while applying the lube. It says to apply it over the cassette but I do it closer to the cranks so I don't get alot of excess all over the cassette. Any excess goes on a rag on the floor instead.

This stuff works great and as advertised helps keep the drivetrain clean. You don't have to worry about putting too much. Once applied simply crank the pedal around a bunch of times to work the lube in. Then run the chain and wipe any excess, you'll also be cleaning dirt off the chain at the same time. Remember you want the inside of the chain (rollers) lubed not the outside. Excess lube merely attracts more dirt. It recommends leaving it overnight to "setup" so I usually do that unless I forget, it's supposed to last longer that way, but no problem with applying it before or during a ride.

I've used other heavier lubes in the past and they can be a mess. They may be good for really extreme environments...
