Bear 🐻: These don’t break easy, they sharpen well and the colour range and saturation is exceptional. I’m very pleased with this set. I’ve found this set to be the best for monochrome pictures so far. There are so many of each colour that you can easily complete an image using one colour. Highly recommended 🙌

TeddyTeddy: Vorweg, ich bin Anfänger im Umgang mit Farben aber benötige diese im Abitur also versuchte ich mich an diesen aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen.
Ich bin vollsten Zufrieden. Die Stifte sind angenehm weich, lassen sich gut verblenden und auch sehr gut vermischen.
Die Testkarte ist auch äußerst Praktisch um schnell sich einen Überblick zu verschaffen.

CheralynCheralyn: These are very nice colored pencils. I use Polychromos, Prismacolor, Derwent, and Holbeins. I tried the Castle Arts Urban Sketching set and liked them so much I decided to buy the full set. In some ways they're more similar to my Polys than my other pencils. I bought them to use when lightfastness doesn't matter - project planning in sketchbooks, making prints, and for playing around in coloring books.

The only reason I took off a couple of stars is that it appears I was sent a used set with no plastic wrap, torn up box, advertising band on upside down, and many of the pencils blunted. The pencils are still very usable and the case is in decent shape so I'm keeping them this time. But I've had many discussions with Amazon and sent many items back, especially this year, and yet this keeps happening. I've returned watercolor brushes, paper pads, sketchbooks, books, clothes, and other household items because of receiving used products, which Amazon assures me is not their intention when paying for new items. So I thought if I start downgrading the products themselves maybe the actual suppliers will take note and step up to do something about Amazon's unspoken policy of selling...

Kathleen A Romine: Love the feel of these pencils in my hand. Wish they had numbered coloring books to teach shading skills with all the colors in this set of pencils. I love the case which keeps things neat and protected.

Bethany T.: I have quite a few large sets of various brands of colored pencils. I think that overall, this is actually my favorite set! Yes, there are obviously better brands, and these pencils are not in their league, neither for performance nor price!! All things considered, especially the price, that's what makes these my favorite standard colored pencil!! No, these aren't a budget set, and you might even find some pencils that perform more to your liking at a much lower price, it's all just a personal preference, after all.

This was the first set of Castle Arts pencils that I bought, over a year ago, and have since purchased the Gold set, the metallic, the pastel "macaron" and the water color sets, always the largest quantity available in the zipper pouches. I try not to spend too much on art supplies, but all those other purchases were me chasing the quality of this set. This particular set is hands down superior to any of the others offered by this brand, but that's just my opinion. I would definitely purchase this again, not totally certain if I would invest again in any of their other sets, but possibly would if I use them all up.

JoeJoe: I enjoy drawing with graphite pencils. I like the look and appearance of graphite. But everyone I showed my drawings to, all told me I should do them in color. So I took their advise and gave it a try. I don't like painting, so I decided to start off with colored pencils. I really enjoy using colored pencils a lot more than what I thought I would, so I purchased this set because it provided a wide variety of colors at a reasonable price. However, there are SO many different brands and types of colored pencils available to choose from (wax based, oil based, pastels, water colors). All the reviews I watched kept talking about how nice certain pencils performed. So I invested in some other brands to see for myself what the hype was all about. I purchased small sets of 12 or 24 of each brand to check them out (I found a lot of them on sale too)
