Jennifer B: I received this budget journal and I was very impressed. There are a lot of factors that do impress me. Number one - The price. This journal literally comes with so many options that the price to me amazed me how low it is. Number two- The overall make of the journal. It is a very sturdy journal that has a thick binder that does not bend. Number three- The thank you note. That let me know that they packaged this with care and they even offered help if it is needed. Number four- They gave you a help guide. In the back of the journal you have stickers and a place to keep that help guide which is great for someone that is learning how to budget. Number five- Each page is thick where my favorite pen does not bleed through!!!!!

I love this budget journal! I recommend it! The only advice I would have is to make one a little bigger for those that might not be able to see too well. I am tempted to buy more for christmas gifts!!!!

Ming NimMing Nim: I have tried and tried for several years to budget and just could not do it with previous (expensive) planners I have purchased before. With the help of this planner and information gained from watching The Budget Mom on YT, I managed to finally find a system that works for me and my family! The pages are nice and thick so pen ink does not bleed through the pages. The pen holder comes in very handy to hold a pen (use an erasable pen folks!). I plan on purchasing several more of these budget books (what an amazing price tag, right?!) for future use. HOWEVER, I do have some suggestions for the creators/publishers of the book.

#1: Include a Month page for the beginning of each month.
▪️Because I am a visual person, I need to have a calendar for each month to see when each bill is due for the month. What I did was print out a calendar for each month and cut and glued them to the beginning of each month in the journal. I would much rather it comes with one as my paper is not as thick as the papers in the journal. I included a picture of what that looks like.

EG: This is a good beginner budgeting notebook. If you're like me, and you don't keep up with your budgeting spreadsheets, no matter how much you try, or if you prefer the tangible interaction of hand-written budgets, this is an excellent choice. You can even use this book as a guideline and make your own budget notebook, using the form on this book, if you find that it's missing something you want to keep track of (multiple-year savings, investment portfolios, retirement/health accounts, loan balances, etc.). It helps that this comes in several, neat color options, too! My only critique has to do with the included stickers - they would be much more useful if they actually were markers, such as labeled tabs, next month's "watch" items, or new reoccurring payments. I might also suggest an "averages" or grouping page that tabulates regular grocery/utility/rent/loan payments. Having a layout like this can help people see where costs can be cut, and having a small loan sheet may help some people realize where loans should be paid off early to reduce interest. Just a suggestion, but again, this book is so versatile you can add pages and insert them in the the little folder in the back....

b6daniels: I ordered this book after trying multiple apps that did nothing but confuse me. The app contained all my info yet I never could quite figure out where I stood. Having the information organized in a book makes it more comprehensive and visible to me for some reason.
I just received the book and so will need to update later on its true usefulness but so far I'm optimistic. There are simple monthly layouts for bills, debts, expenses, budgets, and notes. It includes 2 ribbon bookmarks, which will be handy, and an elastic band to keep it neat, along with a handy pen slot.
It even includes a Christmas expense section, which I think is awesome.
The one thing I'm not quite sure about, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that I use credit cards to pay all my bills and make most purchases, and then pay the full statement amount monthly, but in the daily expense section, nor any section for that matter, does it include anything about which expenses are on a credit card versus cash purchases, which would affect your cash balances at month end.
I'm sure there's a solution I could easily implement, like adding a column to notate the account which was used for the...
