nancy mandzik: This harness is exactly what I was looking for! It fits my 15,1/2 year old 6 pound chi,dachshund . Who is difficult to fit. I also love that it is a step into and not a pull over. It also has a chest ring so if you have a pulling and a trachea issue you can use that .but it is lightweight for my tiny senior baby. I'm so impressed I'm going to order another one.

Becca: My shih tzu is a size medium.

Pros: These are really nice quality and pretty thick considering the price, didn’t have stitching that stuck out that would rub my dogs’ skin raw, the reflective material is fantastic and goes all around the harness and is very very bright-the reflective material is the piping so it’s not painted on which means it probably won’t crack like cheaper harnesses.

Cons: there is a design flaw-you cannot really adjust these. The only adjustment is how much the Velcro overlaps and there’s only about 2” to mess around with so idk if these harnesses will fit every pup.

SS: Purchased this harness for my dog under 10lb for the color, reflective material, and comfort. After having it for several months, I can submit a proper evaluation. The step in design is great and easy to get on and off the dog. The velcro on the other hand has torn away from the main flap that secures it before you apply the clip lock. I expected it to last longer. There is a clip that can secure the flaps but I will have to resew the velcro to maximize the usage. Positives are it reflects very well and its easy to get on an off. I have not placed it in the washer just hand washed and air dry. May consider repurchasing again if other alternatives are not available with the same easy and reflective materials.

Sandy K.Sandy K.: I was warned that schnauzers generally hated harnesses and my 34 pound standard schnauzer was no exception. He loves his 1" collar and will run over to me when I bring it out for his walks, but will shy away from his harnesses no matter how much positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning I do with him. He does great with loose leash walking but I wanted him to have a harness that I could clip a leash to when he's playing fetch at a park on his long leash or when he's buckled into a car seat.

I've tried PetSafe 3 in 1 No-Pull Dog Harness, Fida Dog Harness, Multi-Functional No-Pull Pet Vest Harness, Auroth Tactical Dog Harness, and 2 Hounds Design Fredom No Pull Harness but he didn't like any of them for various reasons (e.g., the straps chaffed his skin, he didn't like the harness going over his head, he didn't like the straps in front of his chest). The only harness he seemed to like was his SlowTon Dog Car Harness that had a vest made of mesh fabric.

Based on his responses to these harnesses, I figured that he wanted a mesh vest that he can step into and the Joytale Step In Harness was perfect! I lay it on the floor and he'll step into the arm holes so I can...
