Amazon Customer: We have a birdbath/fountain that holds about six gallons of water and needs to be cleaned monthly. This pump works terrific for it. I mounted it on a 12" X 10" board to make it sit upright in the grass but otherwise it is as it came out of the box, with the addition of a section of stiff garden hose to use as a suction line. It will empty the fountain in about 5 minutes.

Mrs. Hoop: This pump worked for well. It removed all the water that was standing under our home. The pump was fast but we did have to stop a couple of times to let the pump cool down. It does not come with the drain water hose so we did have to purchase one. It was simple to assemble with the included instructions. The only down side was we did not purchase the one with the switch and had to unplug and plung it back in when moving to another spot. Oh, and the filter did stop up quite a bit but it was easy to clean and we got right back to the task. It is a little loud while in use as well but overall it work for the job we needed done and I would recommend it.

antonio vazquez: Well the price was really reasonable so I when and buy it, I didn't really was expecting much of it. I only need it so I can get the last 5in of water out of my over ground pool so I don't have to do it by hand with buckets.... Well it is pretty slow it took the pump almost 6hrs to do what I will normally do in 1hr but for convenience it's fine I can just leave it and forget about it but... It overheats constantly so if you run it for more than 3hrs it will stop ok you will said that's fine and you can deal with that it's not a big deal, ok guess what? me too but.... The third time that I used "THE THIRD TIME" it burn, it just burn ... So it was the third time I used in 3 months so my pump is broken and I can't returned so now I need to buy a new one so you get what you pay.

Bryce B.: This pump is exactly what you're looking for. At the local big box hardware store, this type pump is $120+. So, if you're coming to amazon to save a buck or two, you know what you're doing.

Anyway, oil the pump like it tells you to do and it'll suck that water right up. I use this to pump the overflow from my septic. So it pumps from 3-5 feet below the pump, through the pump, out a 20 ft garden hose. If oiled, handles like a champ. I've only had it a week but it's put in at least 6-8 hours. Running steady 30 min - 2 hours so far. The noise? you mean, the normal noise from any pump? This thing isn't as loud as an air mattress pump. Be happy.

Very pleased with my purchase so far. Hopefully it has good longevity.

Paul Reid: I got this pump to get water off of my pool cover. It did it, but it was very slow and made a ton of noise doing it - like loud enough to hear 2 doors down quite easily. I ended up returning this pump after it croaked on me - fortunately just barely inside the return window. The seller was really easy to deal with, however, so I'd definitely buy from the seller again - just not this particular product.

In the end, I wound up with a larger FluentPower 1HP water transfer pump. It moves far more water, and is really quite quiet - though it's about 6 times the size, physically. I can barely hear it in the shed from the deck, 15' away. That route worked much better for me - well worth the extra $30 or so it cost.

Action Jackson: [UPDATE] I had a minor issue that revealed a flaw. I sucked up some string from my bilge that disabled the pump. This lead to me needing to remove the plate on the pump housing to clean it out. The screws are really soft and I was only able to remove two of them. The other two stripped and I will have to use my angle grinder to turn them into flathead screws so they can be removed. I was able to bend the plate and remove the debri and replace the pieces. After which the pump still works, but now with a minor leak-- not a big deal. Just be careful with these screws. They are super cheap pot-metal. [END UPDATE]
So far so good. Pumps are often fickle mistresses, so I'll remain skeptical until I get years of use out of it. But, so far it has done exactly what I need it to do -- I'm using it to pump my bilge on my boat until I can install a more permanent bilge pump. I hope to keep this as a back up bilge pump. If I remember, I'll post an update.

Dave Murphy: Pump seems to work good, hose that comes with it is actual garbage. On the male end of the hose, then end that you would connect to a spray wand or another extension hose the end just spins so when tightening anything to that end of the hose it will only get so tight and then just spins. Have to get something like vice grips to hold the threads to get the wand or whatever attachment you are using back off.
