Jack: I bought this for soreness and muscle pain relief. And it works. I mean, really really works. I was doing more walking than usual, probably dehydrated and I felt a charley horse coming along. I guzzled some of this and presto the chaarley horse never made dry land. The other time I had a full on charley horse and same thing - with some muscle massaging it disappeared after guzzling this. The issue is the price. I bought it last for $32 and now it's, what, 80 bucks. GTFOH. At this price it's a certified ripoff

Mike OBrien: My first choice was Cherry Bay Orchards from Shoreline Fruit, but a few years back they stopped fulfilling orders in-house. It was unavailable on Amazon for a while and when it returned had become very pricy. I found this Indian Summer juice available on Amazon and it was considerably less expensive. I get it now through Sam's where it's a much better price than the Cherry Bay Orchards juice on Amazon. Although I think the Indian River product contains "some" concentrate and "some" non-domestic juice, I stand by the headline - I like the taste.

MsBee: A friend of mine posted on Facebook that having Montmorency tart cherry juice daily helped her with insomnia. She said she'd heard the idea from Dr. Oz. I've been dealing with insomnia issues now for several months, years maybe?, and haven't really found anything that helped much. I have used one homeopathic remedy - Hylands Calms Forte - which has sometimes helped my mind relax enough to get to sleep, but when I woke in the middle of the night again, I'd be awake for hours sometimes still. I really didn't want to ever go on prescription sleep aids due to the side effects of some, the addictive qualities of some, and the disoriented, groggy feeling I hear that many create. I really prefer to be as natural as possible for things that go into my body, so trying a pure juice with no added sugar sounded like it certainly couldn't hurt, even if it didn't do what I'd hoped. I've been amazed and delighted to see that this has really worked for me. Like I've told some friends, I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not, but I really don't care. Caribbean Gal: UPDATE #2: July 18, 2014 - still over $39! I called the manufacturer, they have not raised prices. Sams Club still selling for $26, and you can buy direct from manufacturer for $26. You know what? If when the freight is added on, if it's $1 or $2 more than Amazon, I'm buying it from them anyway, just on principle.

UPDATE: Bought last case directly via Amazon/Prime on May 22 for $27.95. Today, June 10, it's $39.59. That's a 40% HIKE. The growers have not raised cherry product prices by 40%!!!!!!!
Maybe the "health food nazis" HAVE discovered this, but some of us need it for serious medical conditions, and we are being gouged by GREED. Just because you CAN GET THAT PRICE, doesn't mean you should. Shame, shame, shame! Sam's club is selling this product today for $25.98.

I've used this product for 5 years, it is great! This is the type of cherry juice that is tart & dark. For some, it's too tart, so they add sweetener. I mix it with 2/3 water and try to consume 60-90 oz/day for urinary tract alkalinity and help fighting off a drug resistant infection. That's up to 3/4 of a bottle, so the cost per ounce is of utmost importance to me.
