I just got a new sofa. My last one was sent out the door in tatters from my cats scratching the living hell out of it. I bought these with a prayer on my lips. So far, they are working perfectly! The cats do not appreciate the slick surface and… they are actually using their scratching posts! The plastic clear, panels are hardly noticeable. I’m very thankful for this product!

I have 3 cats and they have destroyed an Ikea sofa, then another cheap futon I bought to replace it.
This time, I got a not expensive but beautiful sofa bed, in orange velvet. And I want to keep it that way...
I got a cover for it but some parts will not reach, so these plastic adhesives were applied to those areas, ironically the favorite parts they like to scratch.
Took me a while to really open the package and try it. Then, there is a warning "Not for velvet, faux or real leather". Come on!
I wish there was an explanation on why. Will it damage it? For faux leather, maybe, but real leather as well?
So I am trying anyway, it comes out easily.
One tip is, if you need to hold them in place, cross the pieces, because when you put one adhesive over the other, it's really hard to pull it out.
So, for corners, make sure you know where you want it and cross them! It will stay in place. I am not using the pins.

Our cats were tearing up our couch. I tried ordering a few couch protectors that fit over the art of the couch, but they were all too small for the overstuffed couch arm and didn’t cover the places our cats were clawing. I tried these instead and they have been great so far! I didn’t use the screws - they stuck just fine and haven’t come off. The cats haven’t touched the areas with the plastic and there were enough sheets to cover all the areas we needed to cover. They’re also not as noticeable or ugly as some of the other options out there!

I did a lot of research before chosing these couch protectors. I needed something that would stick, and keep my cats from scratching the back of the couch.
I am happy with them, as the cats don't seem to be interested in scratching the couch anymore. That's the biggest pro, obviously.
The cons are that they're not as sticky as I'd hoped they would be. They do require the little racks that come with them to keep in place more securely. That said, the tacks fall loose at times, and kind of hang there. Which could be dangerous if someone steps on them barefoot, or if one of the pets decides to make them into a toy.
I also wish that more came in the package for the price. I've already ordered 2 packs, and I'll need to order a 3rd to cover the back of the couch.
I have an L shaped couch from Pottery Barn, if that gives an idea of size and marterial.
Overall though, better than my cats continuing to destroy a $5000 piece of furniture (I paid half for it... but still).

El producto funciona, mi gatita peleó como una semana contra el papel, fue ideando cómo quitarlo y le terminó haciendo 2 huecos en su esquina favorita del sillon pero fue todo, de ahí aprendió a quitar los pinchitos que trae para dejarlo fijo y me preocupé un bueeennnn, pero vi que solo los tira, no se tragó ninguno. Ojalá que tuviera más espirales el pinchito o espirales más grandes. Despues de eso probé solo dejarlo puesto con el pegamento que trae y creo que hubiera funcionado si mi perro mediano no se restregara por el sillón… en fin, terminé poniendole de nuevo los pinchitos y ahí sigue. Recomiendo comprar el rollo si tu gato es necio porque aunque le quites su esquina favorita, avanzará a la parte que no esté cubierta :’) F
