Amazon Customer: These are so fun, I felt a little over priced considering it is just a piece of plastic. However, I must say, drinking dry ice is incredibly dangerous and possible deadly…we are using these for decor around the bar, drinks that will not actually be consumed. Once the dry ice shrinks smaller than the size of the holes in the basket it can and WILL escape. Please do not be foolish enough to serve dry ice to your guests.

Jennifer: First of all, you will not get dry ice with this, and understandably so. Dry ice evaporates so quickly it would be gone before the package arrived. You get 10 plastic stir sticks with closeable compartments to contain the dry ice. Now to my understanding this was made for pebble dry ice. However we just bought a block of dry ice from the store and crushed it into smaller pieces. I double bagged the block and started off by dropping it a few times on the garage floor. Then I took a hammer and gently broke it up into smaller pieces, about marble sized. I then loaded all the stir sticks with 1-2 pieces and placed them in the freezer about 1 hour before the party. Put the remainder of the dry ice in the freezer as well. This took all of about 15 minutes. The pre-loaded stir sticks lasted fairly well this way, though they did evaporate a little. They created a great smoky effect that lasted about 3-5 minutes, this may be longer with the pebble dry ice. I found this to be perfect because it was just long enough for everyone to admire and have fun with, but not so long it prevented them from drinking their drink. Jackie M: I used it to do some magic potion with some students and it worked great and I did not have to worry about them burning their fingers. I am planning on using it with adult cocktails next. They are also easy to clean. It was easy to get dry ice from Talbert in my area. I do recommend these for any body who wants to host a fun party.
After having used it a few times now it’s still a lot of fun. I don’t understand the bad reviews due to the fact that dry ice was not included but it clearly said dry ice not included and there is no need to crush the dry ice to fit it in the spoon because you can ask for the pellets version they sell those in the same place and they fit perfectly. I do agree that $14 is a bit pricey for plastic spoons but it is a lot of fun to use.

Kasey: Didn't know i had to buy the dry ice to put in the plastic stick. Paid 11 bucks for some plastic. It was pointless and i can't get dry ice anywhere in this town so now my kid don't have something kewl for his harry potter birthday party.
