The Safety 1st kits come with baby nail files and green dust falls off as you use them. These do not do that,are thicker so they don't bend, and the files are still gritty after several uses. Would buy again!

My baby was in the nicu for 11 days and they recommended that I file his names at home vs cutting them. They had said around that age it’s better to file their nails because their nail beds make up most of their nail and people often cut the bed and cause them pain.
Basically, he’s 3 months old and I’m still using nail files. Lol, if you’re intimidated to cut your babies nails. These are perfect. Use them while they’re sleeping

On the scale of wasteful baby purchases, these are on the cheap end. Skip these and get yourself a pack of the $2 adult Revlon emery boards from Walmart instead, and use the smoother light color side. My baby is 4 months old and has TALONS - I file his nails at least once a day to stop him scratching his face. The adult files are SO much easier to hold and do a perfect job. And they are easier to find when you inevitably drop them! Bonus tip - file baby's nails when they are asleep!

These don’t work as well as I was hoping. It takes forever to file down my baby’s nails and sometimes it only files the middle of his fingers so he has sharp points on either end of the nail. Clipping is just faster!

The baby nail files themselves are good quality and last longer than the flimsy ones you get with those baby maintenance kits. However, the product description said they came with a "travel case", but it turns out to be nothing more than the plastic package that they came in. A little misleading.
