Amazon Customer: The media could not be loaded.  At first, i was frustrated because the unit is defective but the moment i complained and started replacement order. Amazon sent another new unit quickly. I received the 2nd unit without returning first the defective one. I really enjoy my talking cuckoo rice cooker and rice tastes very good. highly recommended. John K.: First, I have no idea why it would have cost me $50 more if I bought it in Black! Secondly, the instructions are meager at best! 3rd, I am not sure that this would actually hold 10 cups of rice uncooked then end up with 20. I used only 6 of the rice measurer while making some pilaf (the rice measurer is maybe 3/4 cup) and the uncooked product was at the top line. And there is no place that tells you how much water to use with the rice and it often is not on the rice package either so I simply go with 2 to one. And it took me forever to get it to stop speaking Korean and the English is not very clear. And does it say anywhere that the lights whirling around means it is actually cooking?? I was so glad to feel it was warm after 15 minutes and thrilled to see steam! The rice was perfectly done, which was great, but I feel I have quite a learning curve yet on this appliance.

KC: Update: 8/9/22: Been over a year now? Rice cooker still going strong. Still makes delicious rice. We lost our measuring cup inside our 60 gallon rice container but never fear! By using my pinky to measure the amount of water needed (measure up to second knuckle line from fingernail), this smart rice cooker can estimate how long it needs to cook the rice for. No regrets! Still worth every penny!

Had this rice cooker for over 6 months, and still going strong! It's SO IMPORTANT to read the instructions as it tells you everything you may need to know about handling this expensive cooker. As soon as I changed the settings to English, everything was a breeze. Also, for great lasting rice, turn the warming function down to the lowest heat setting which is 76 or something. Keeps my rice from turning brown and awesome tasting for over 30 hours. Used almost everyday. Also super easy to clean and like a car, you must keep it clean for a long lasting supply of delicious rice, which is super easy bc its mostly just wiping the inside and clearing it of dropped rice grains, ensuring the rubber does not produce mold.. Most satisfied investment in food products to buy.

Lizzie: I love the cuckoo brand! I’ve always had one growing up so it only made sense to buy one for my husband and I.
It makes perfectly fluffy sticky rice.
The 10 cups is quite large so if you have a smaller place go for the 6 cup (it’s more of a standard size). But of course if you have a large family then the 10 cup is for you!

JoyJoy: I cooked with this rice cooker, but the rice is so delicious that every morning is fun. I am using this rice cooker only for making rice, without any other cooking. After purchasing a new one, you must add water mixed with vinegar and cook once.

K. Chan: I've used it for several months now. It works like a charm. The japanese or korean rice we cook tasted so much better. If you like stickier rice, this is the right choice. I also used the multi function frequently and cook chicken, pork chop with onions and garlic. It tasted really delicious. The onions melt into a sauce within 45 min of Multi Cook function. The auto clean button is a life saver. I used the cooker to cook fish before, it tasted good but left a bad smell afterward. The auto clean is really easy to use, you pour water up to the 2 cups line and the cooker would auto clean/sterilize for you. After it runs its cycle, any stains can be wipe out clean easily. This is my first Cuckoo and I highly recommend it. The black color also makes it look very classy in the kitchen. It also speaks English and Korean. It will tell you when it is several minutes away from done cooking. My daughter also used it to make a cake with the recipe included. It was a little dry but still tasted good. Love it!
