I bought this to cut some 1” EMT for my golf simulator. It works as advertised but takes a pretty significant effort to get all the way through on each cut - definitely a good idea to wear gloves so as to avoid blisters.
The screw on the end also loosens itself over time, so you need to have a Phillips head nearby to tighten it back in every so often.
The device is pretty narrow so it takes a little extra attention to achieve accuracy and avoid wobbling over to cut at an angle. All in all, pretty solid unit and got my job done okay, and for a pretty dang low price.

Mekenzie: I bought this to shorten a closet rod that needed to be a very specific rate and this made both cuts I needed in less than five minutes. All I had to do was fasten it on, twist it, and tighten it slightly as I went. The edge when I was done was straight and smooth and the way it works meant it didn't cut into the smaller tube inside it at all. I'm blown away by how well this worked and how easy it was for the amount of money it costs.

I finally got around to using this to cut the stem down to size on my new mountain bike front fork. Worked like a charm! Took about 5 minutes total to finish the job, actual cutting was only 1-2 minutes. Highly recommended!
Some advice based on my experience:
1. Measure, measure and measure again. You only get one chance so take your time. Mark your pipe on both sides (more on this later).
2. When ready for actual cutting, line up the blade and tighten gradually. When the blade is firmly pressed to your pipe, check again that it is lined up.
3. Cut your "first pass" around the stem carefully to ensure you are lined up with both your front and back markings. Try not to let it travel up or down.
4. Once you're happy with your first pass and there is a "guide" groove carved around your pipe, crank up the pressure. It will have a tendency to loosen off. You don't want it to loosen off or the blade might leave this guide groove and start a new cut.
5. Crank and spin, crank and spin, crank and spin.... and done in 1-2 minutes.

what?:
This is a cheap alternative for people who need a tool for a one time project. For that, it is great! This is NOT a COMMERCIAL GRADE TOOL. It is 2 cast metal halves held together with 1 M3 Phillips head screw and 2 3mm aluminum rivets. The construction is similar to a toy. I noticed when cutting a pipe that is stationary, it tends to spiral. If I hold the cutter stationary and rotate the pipe then I get much better results.
Hope this helps you guys..
