Cynthia HallCynthia Hall: My 14 year old washer stop working the day after Thanksgiving. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and was told it would be anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks before it would arrive. When it finally was delivered on January 29th, I was surprised (and not happily) to find that the electric plug on the dryer was 4 prong and my wall socket would only take a 3 prong plug. I called my electrician and he informed me that all I should need was an adapter and I could probably find one at Home Depot or Lowes. Well, guess what! Neither store had the adapter in stock and it would have to be ordered and would cost between 70 and 80 dollars. My electrician then suggested that I go online to Amazon and order the plug. I found the plug and since I have Amazon Prime, I didn’t have to pay for shipping. I ordered that same day (1/29) and it was delivered 2/1. I can now use my dryer and I am a very ‘Happy Camper’.
