Designed “properly” at a glance but won’t allow air to go into the tire valve for some reason.

Kenneth W. Rohla: Got these for sunken stems on my electric scooters and they screw on easily and allow me to fill up the tires. I don't leave them on, so not sure if they'll rust, but good for my purposes.

bruce of AZbruce of AZ: I don't understand the bad reviews. THIS PRODUCT WILL SAVE ME MONEY ON BIKE TIRE TUBES. I purchased a 3-wheel adult trike. The rims needed a tire tube with 48mm valves...not the standard 32mm. This irked me because that meant spending about $8 on a tube instead of $4 per tube. This product works beautifully. I put the tube in the tire, pushed the 32mm valve thru the hole, then immediately screwed this valve extension on, then screwed on the cap from the 32mm valve. BINGO!!!!! Perfect fit. 2 days of riding around and the tube with the extension is holding air perfectly. It really makes me wonder about the bad reviews.

Amazon Customer: Installed these on my service truck, 2018 Transit 3500HD w/ duelies . At 1st they didn't reach the core to open & fill tires, so I snugged them down a bit more, then they leaked. Took them off & found red seals in the "female" threaded side were crushed. Popped them all out & replaced them with 90 durometer o-rings. Works great now. A must have on these trucks, as u can't easily get a gage or chuck on outside rears.

ken: For use on retired person's adult tricycle with old fashioned plastic spokes that are too close to valve stem and tube has short stem. Impossible to grab valve if tire too low. Would like to leave them on, as need to add tire air frequently. Will test for leakage. Valve extension has threaded end for cap. My noisy electric inflator has good hose end, that can grab a short tube valve and gets past the close spokes--but my new hand pump has a bigger harder to use end that requires the extension valve. They don't make things as good as they used to---as I'm often saying. ---UPDATE--- Took away 1 star. Sometimes a bit of fiddleing is necessary to get a smooth air flow between the extension and bike valve stem. The extension is close to great, so should be 4 1/2 stars. Problem is most likely how I use the extension and extension probably works perfectly on a car tire or other bike tire situations. Actually, can't find a better extension anywhere. UPDATE 6/27/2014 -- I was keeping an extender on each tricycle wheel, but found a couple sticking caps where air enters, requiring some WD-40 cleanup, so not leaving on wheels now. note / decided to add 1 star, as extender really is useful...

Osso: I bought a tire pressure gauge from amazon, but unfortunately the chuck was too large to fit through my hubcaps to get to the valve stem. Since my hubcaps are tied to my rims with wire, it's a hassle to remove them. The valve extenders offer a great solution to my problem. They are not permanent. You screw them onto the valve without air loss since they don't actually open the valve unless you push something like a gauge or an air pump on the valve extender. I only use one of them since I screw it on, measure the pressure, unscrew it and move onto the next tire. I would not recommend leaving these on a valve stem permanently. If your tire scrapes against a curb or something of that sort, these extenders may stick out enough to get hit by the curb. I'm guessing this would bend/rip your valve stem off. But hey, they're extremely easy to screw on and off so there's no need to leave them on anyway.

Vee: OLD: No matter how long i tried to tighten these up...with and without pliers,,,,these did not work. my guess is it's the rubber seal inside, which is too big.
UPDATE: Once screwed in, I was testing them by pressing the air release. As no air escaped, I assumed this wasn't tight enough. I then realized you have to press really far to get the air out of this valve. THEY DO WORK....and contrary to some posts here, you can measure air pressure with a digital pump, etc. There are zero vids or forums of this little thing on line, so now you know. IT'S CONNECTED EVEN IF YOU CAN'T RELEASE AIR.
PS: No idea if these will leak as some people say they do. Will find out.
