J. Minteer: I had a larger cleaner, which really drank up water too fast and I wanted one with a little more finer control. I was hesitant at buying this one but after using it, I'm glad I got it. Its really easy to use, attach the tube to the trigger and set the tube slider and give it a pump or two and the water flows quickly or at a trickle if you want. It has two long clear tubes, but one works fine with my 40 gallon tank. It does a great job for a cheap price.

Crazy Cat Lady: I am new to the world of axolotl keeping, and feeding mine can be quite the messy endeavor! They are so pokey and clumsy at feeding time, and we almost always have quite a mess after feeding time. I have some ghost shrimp that help with cleanup immensely, but I don't like to leave remnants in there for too long after feeding time, so I decided to order a vacuum to help with this, and this one works GREAT for exactly that! Very easy to quickly clean up after each feeding session and my axolotl tank is super clean. That makes us both happy, I think!

jme: The first time i used it, it worked great. When i cleaned out the debris around the filter, ot no longer had any suction. I knocked the small valve out of the head... put it back but it no longer has the suction it had at first. I have to go old school and manually suck up the water until it reaches the top of the tube, then the primer pump will work. And then the suction work great again..

Leonela: This is the best vacuum I've ever had. For 5 years I have always had a crappy vacuum and I wish I found this earlier. It picks up the fish poop better than any other vacuum I've used before. Highly recommend. You don't have to get your hands dirty in the water because it extends really far if you connect the extra tube. The clip that attaches the hose to the bucket is very efficient and makes it easier for one person to do a water change and poop cleaning. The water flow can be adjusted and what I like is that it is slightly slow but if you have a lot of poop in your tank, it is good to suck up all the poop without filling a bucket up so fast.

Cleveland Ohio: I really like this vacuum. I wish it sucked a little faster, though. But, all in all it is much better And I don't have to watch it like a hawk like my old stiff vacuum hose. The hose that comes with this is soft and supple. Very easy to get the water pumping after only a few pushes on the manual pump. Like I said, it's a little slower with the water being vacuumed out of the tank, but it does the job to change the water in my tank. I would definitely by again if I ever needed to. Love it!!
