emily: I am such a huge fan of this sleepsuit. My babe is 9 weeks old. At 8 weeks I tried to transition him from the swaddle to a sleep bag, and he went from sleeping decently to only sleeping an hour at a time. Although he isn’t rolling yet, I don’t love how restricted he is while swaddled and I wanted to give him more freedom of movement.
I decided to give this a try after hearing amazing things. Right out of the package, I was impressed by the softness of the fabric. It feels so comfy and breathable. The cream color is pleasant, and I appreciate the fact that the area by his face is cut low so as to not possibly interfere with his breathing. Also, the claims are accurate (for us anyways). My son sleeps SO well in this. He has been getting some of his longest stretches of sleep ever and is easy to settle after middle of the night wake ups. I love that it soothes him enough to keep him asleep, but that he isn’t restrained in any way. I would repurchase a million times over and recommend to anyone.

Haley: Thank you lord for the people that invented this thing. We’ve been swaddling my 3 month old since birth and still are, but recently I haven’t been able to get her back in the swaddle after her first wake up. She either fully wakes up while I’m trying to swaddle her or only sleeps for another hour. I’ve tried the premade swaddles also, they don’t seem to give her comfort and she really hated sleep sacks. The only way to get any sleep was to co-sleep and with our dog, that isnt really an option. After a week of losing a ton of sleep, I finally folded and bought this thing, thinking I was wasting money on another gimmicky product. Last night she woke up around 4 like usual, I changed her diaper and fed her, and she was out. I took her and put her in this, and voila! She slept the rest of the night!! I think she likes being able to stretch out, but with this thing I can put her alone in her bassinet to sleep. I was worried by the pictures that it would be too hot but it’s cool to the touch inside and she was very comfortable. Hopefully writing this review doesn’t jinx anything! I’m going to tell all my new mom friends to buy this immediately.

AngelaAngela: This sleep suit is literal magic. BUY IT! I had to take the time to write a review in hopes of helping others. My son was around 2 months when he started hating to be swaddled. He would wake up every 2 to 3 hours no matter what I did. I tried an expensive $100 sleep sack but he hit himself in the face from his startle reflex and was awake literally all night. I randomly saw this suit pop up on prime day and had to try it. The first night I was nervous but within minutes of putting him in the suit he was passed out in my arms. I placed him in his bassinet, he stayed asleep, and he slept through the night and has been doing so every night ever since and it’s been over a week. Even if he wakes for an early morning feeding around 5 AM he eats then goes IMMEDIATELY back to sleep in the suit where he used to take over an hour to try to rock back to sleep. I’m so happy with this suit and can’t recommend it enough. I will say you should take your baby out of the suit to feed them because I found if I left him in the suit he would fall asleep during the feeding so it was easier to feed him while he was awake then slide him back in the suit. I already purchased a backup! Highly,...

Frederick Thibeault: Ok so we tried this with our son at about 5 months old to transition out of a swaddle and it was a great big flop. He is a crap napper and usually only sleeps in 20-30 min increments during the day. Honestly I just don’t think he was ready, so we tried a transition sleep sack first from halo where his arms were more constrained. Now at 6 months he is sleep trained but was still taking crap naps…. Enter the suit! Watching him connect his sleep cycles and fall back asleep for a nap in this almost made me want to cry with happiness. He also did fewer night wakings and put himself back to sleep easier. Not sure if he is just at the right age where sleep lengthens but I think the suit has definitely helped.

Ashley: This sleepsuit really is magic! My son only slept well when he was swaddled and he's grown to the size where he really shouldn't be swaddled anymore. First night putting him in this and he slept through the night, with his arms relaxed, extended out. A week later and he falls asleep on his own as well. No more rocking baby to sleep! And his naps are such a breeze now. Put him in the sleepsuit and falls/stays asleep so well. Wish I caved earlier and bought this for my firstborn! This is quite pricey so, that's why I was so hesitant before. I will point out that the suit is pretty thick so, keep this in mind if you live somewhere hot or if your baby heats up and sweats easily. Right now, it's winter where we are so, the thick sleepsuit works fine for my son. He also sweats easily so, just a short-sleeve onesie underneath is just fine.

Katlyn: This is literally the first review I’ve ever left on an Amazon purchase but I thought it was necessary because I was looking for a review like this when I was shopping and it was hard to find.
My daughter just turned five months old and has been swaddled since she was six weeks old (& the first night I ever swaddled her was the first time she ever slept through the night & has been sleeping the night ever since) I was terrified of the idea of having to transition out of swaddling but knew the day would come.
When she turned four months old she started getting the strength to bring her arms up through the halo sleep sack into her face waking herself up/scratching herself/putting her hands in her mouth which made her start babbling away at wee hours of the night. I decided to try swaddling with one arm out to see how it would go and occasionally it would work but most of the time she would wake up in less than an hour from touching her face with the free hand. So I continued to wrap her in the halo sleep sack, but just did it tighter than ever..& it kept working..till it didnt. She would fall asleep great but would move her arms up after an hour or so...

Lena: I bought this a day ago for my six month old who has very severe eczema. It arrived swiftly and I’ve tried it only once but already have mixed thoughts.
First I’ll go into the reason I bought this for my poor itchy, wiggly little boy. Basically I noticed yesterday when he had an accidental nap in his snow suit (we got home and I couldn’t get him out of it as he was hungry, tired and upset so decided to leave him in it!) that he barely wriggled or scratched/rubbed himself compared to the usual nightmare we have at sleepy times. He always wears gloves but they don’t stop him from rubbing at himself and he is always wriggling to itch his body, and it drives both him and me insane. For the first time ever, yesterday he was relaxed. I suspect his snowsuit sort of blocked him from being able to get to his skin with his hands as it cushioned him a lot to create a barrier, so he gave up. He napped for three hours straight, which has NEVER happened before.
I remembered reading about this magic suit before and thought I’d give it a try, to act as an anti-scratch ‘blocker’ much like his snowsuit did. Putting my little itchy inflamed baby in a warm thick suit goes...

Callie H.Callie H.: We have absolutely love this sleep suit for our little one. She’s 15 weeks old and we use the 3-6 month suit. I ordered it as soon as she started rolling and it wasn’t safe to swaddle. She loved the swaddle, so I was looking for a safe alternative. It works like a charm and I don’t worry about her being too cold at night. Bonus that she looks hilariously adorable in it.
I’d also like to speak about the customer service at Merlin’s Magic. When we got our original order from Amazon fulfillment and it appeared to be one that had been returned. There was a stain on the inside and no tags. I reached out to the company (not through Amazon) and they were incredibly responsive and helpful.
