Charley L.: This costs less than ring, and works with Wyze app software. It comes with the chime box that you can plug in anywhere in your home. The installation was not too difficult and the app walks you through the steps. Overall it works great. Make sure you have a great Wifi network or you'll run into instability. As soon as I upgraded my wifi network all the initial issues I had with this doorbell camera went away. It's been solid using the Amazon Eero 6 mesh network router.

Victoria L. Davis: After receiving the replacement for the first one I had to return, we have enjoyed everything we get from having this bell.
I returned the first one because it was clearly used. The box was not sealed and there was a hair in the box…yuck! I wish Amazon would NOT send us returned items from someone else. This is not the first time either.
The bell was very easy to attach once you knew what you needed and that’s a power source. Once the hubby installed it, we have enjoyed all that it offers. It calls your phone when someone rings it. It captures so much in the camera. It can be used as a walkie-talkie with the person at the door. It has a very short recording span but you have options where you can purchase more recording time.
All in all, it’s a good buy and their is NO monthly fee

Amazon Customer: I chose this doorbell because it was literally the ONLY one I could find that was small enough to fit on the thin doorframe where our old doorbell was. To as they say beggars can't be choosers. That said I am actually very happy with it. The instructions were clear and setup was really easy. The camera has many features and has worked very well so far. The chime could be louder and if you want to purchase a second one to put on another floor be ready to overpay for it. There is also a slight delay from pressing the doorbell to when you are notified. But all in all I think it is a great video doorbell for the prices. My biggest issue is the lack of SD card recording. To keep recorded videos and unlock the full potential of the camera you have to sign up to the Wayze service and while the price is far from outrageous it turned out to be double what I was expecting. Still, for what this cost I can pay the fee for a few years before I equal the price of some of the other mainstream brands.

lovetoread: I finally got around to installing the camera, great video quality. The chime cube unfortunately does not work. I was not concerned that it does not make our mechanical doorbell ring, but was hoping that the cube would chime. From what I have read online, this appears to be a common issue. If the chime worked I would have given it 5 stars.

Sina Ahmadi: I recently purchased the Wyze Video Doorbell with Chime from Amazon, and I must say I'm quite satisfied with its performance. Despite its smaller size, this doorbell manages to pack a punch and gets the job done effectively.

The installation process was relatively straightforward, although I did encounter a minor setback due to not having the right drilling bit for my brick exterior. However, once that hurdle was overcome, setting up the doorbell was a breeze. It took me approximately an hour, but I believe it would be quicker for someone with the proper tools.

One of the standout features of the Wyze Video Doorbell is its impressive video quality. Whether it's day or night, the camera captures clear and sharp footage, allowing me to see and identify visitors clearly. Even in low-light conditions, the night vision mode performs exceptionally well.

Amazon Customer: 1. The connector screws for your power cables are so shallow I was not able to use my existing copper wires; the screws simply would not tighten. I used the flat/fork connectors provided by them and they barely fit and they are pretty flimsy. I ended up using longer screws from my existing door bell; they are about twice as long and they worked well
2. The install back plate is very thin plastic and not strong. If someone pulled the unit it would probably get pulled right off. Also once you click your unit onto the back plate I am not sure if there is a way to uninstall it other than breaking it off. You better get it right the first time; level it first.
3. My existing door bell was sideways as the siding on the house is also sideways therefore, it was not ideal to install this doorbell vertically. There is no way to install the doorbell sideways as you are not able to rotate the picture digitally; also your picture ratio does not work well if you install it sideways.
4. Picture quality is excellent; wish the unit would take a memory card; I am not a fan of extra paid service for cloud viewing extended video.

Colin N.: I am a big Wyze fan, especially of their cameras, but the Wyze Doorbell has me losing confidence.

This year I bought a Wyze Doorbell for my mother to go on her backdoor, expecting it to be every bit as easy as their other products. While the camera quality is every bit as good as their normal Wyze Cams, this product falls frustratingly short in a number of areas:

1. Installation. What a nightmare. It comes with an angled riser which gives you a little compartment in which you can tuck excess wires if you need to, but if you have a bulk of wires and need to mount the doorbell flat against a surface - then look elsewhere.

Our wires come through a small hole in the vinyl doorframe and we could not drill a bigger hole into which we could stuff the wires and caps needed to connect our Wyze wires to the doorbell wires. We only barely managed to secure the bell to the backing plate with everything stuffed in behind. Wyze *needs* to include a non-angled riser. If you need to add extras like caps or butt connectors and are mounting it on stone or brick - forget about it.

2. Notifications. I bought it thinking that it would function like more expensive...

shadowplyr: First impressions.... The installation guide is great! So easy with step by step pictures and instruction. Having a close router is important for best quality. Can't beat the price, the UI of the app is super intuitive and user friendly.

2 days in: updated firmware and placed detection zones. Still can't get this to detect people, had an Amazon delivery.... No notification. But if the tree blows from a breeze I get 2 or 3. Hoping this improves
I REALLY don't like the strobe like flashing when the device has lost wifi connection, I feel like announcing to everyone that HEY, THIS CAMERA ISN'T WORKING kinda defeats the purpose a bit. If I'm home, I will know the wifi is out,if I'm away a flashing light won't notify me any better than a "unable to connect" would

Another update: now that I have finally gotten the zones and detection sensitivity set, this thing is a GREAT little device. Still not happy with the strobe when losing internet, and the wifi range needs work, but this thing is GREAT otherwise. Just bought 2 v3 outdoor cams to add to try out
