Élodie: These bags work! We went away for a couple of days in August and when we came back, the first thing my husband said was that the house smelled like the new model homes we toured while house hunting. These new homes must use activated charcoal bags to keep the houses smelling nice.
You can smell a fragrance but it’s a subtle, pleasant woody smell. Once a month I place them on a window sill where the sun shines through every morning and leave them there until the next day and then place them in each room of the house. In the bathrooms I place 2. And 4 in the great room. And there’s no unpleasant odor coming from the bathrooms or closets or anywhere else in the house. We’re very satisfied with them. SciFiGirl: I thought nothing would work on these old hand made dressers, but these work. I use more per square foot than is probably necessary, but once I did, it worked fine. I don’t know how to care for them. I’ve had them for maybe a year and when they wear out, I don’t know if they can be ‘refreshed’ somehow, but for now, I’m glad I have them.

PhyliciaPhylicia: These bags most definitely work! Put in my sons room in his closet with his shoes and odor was gone within 24hrs. Small and easy to just throw in or hang where bad odors are. Packaging was a weird came wrapped in plastic.

Indiana: I have been on a journey trying to eliminate the awful mothball smell in furniture. Recently, I bought a used loveseat that was in good condition, like new, but it has a strong mothball scent to it. I didn't realize it until I got it home. From morning to evening, I would crack open a window to let fresh air in where the loveseat is located. I do this despite it is winter and 20 degrees out. Anyway, I first bought the Bad Odor Air Sponge to help eliminate the mothball odor. I didn't see any difference in the smell. So, I bought two Smellezes bags. Since the Smellezes, I have smelled a slight difference. The strong mothball odor has reduced, but not completely gone. I do move the Smelleze bags around on the loveseat, and I have reactivated the Smellezes, zapping them in the microwave once a week. Also, I have placed open boxes of baking soda around the loveseat. The mothball smell still lingers. When walking into the room, the mothball odor smacks you in the face. Ugh!
