ChantelleChantelle: I bought these as part of a gift to my nurses/techs when I have my baby. They are really pretty but the rose gold pen looks to have ink stains on it. All the pens are smooth except the black one is wrapped in a glitter fabric, but still isn’t super rough. I haven’t used them to write so I can’t say how glide and ink are.

shopper1: This is my second set. My first set is still going strong - glitter hasn't dulled, writes good, easy to hold. The only reason I got the second set was because my nurse loved them so much I got her a set. I keep one or two in my purse all the time. It's not in a separate slot, just at the bottom so it does get abused. It hasn't nicked or scratched at all.

Jennifer: I really do like these pens. The only problem I have found with them is that the ink cartridges that come in them do not actually fit properly. This is probably the cause of the leaking ink problems other reviewers have noted. My solution to this may be a little much for other users but I ended up ordering the stick refills that supposedly fit these refills from the WY WENYUAN store. The length (11cm) of those refills do work the problem was that the length from the tip of the cartridge and the crimping on the refill in too long. My fix for that was to take the longer spring from a cheap dollar store pen and switch it with the shorter spring that came in the pen. This wasn't a big deal for me since I always have a bunch of cheap dollar store pens lying around.
