Donna Steckler: This Sorel boot is stylish and comfortable. Definitely listen to the reviews and downsize by 1/2 size. I am always a 7 1/2 and ordered a 7 and have plenty of room for a thicker sock. I wore them to work and never changed into my shoes they have a wonderful arch support. Thry are comfy and warm. They are kinda spends but worth the money. Love them.

MarMarMarMar: I bought size 11. The shoe is very roomy. Roomy enough to wear two pairs regular of socks. Or one pair of really thick wool socks.

I would recommend wearing it with thick socks. Becuase the boot is so roomy, thin socks mean your foot will slide around. And I found the pad of my foot and my pinky toes sore on the first day. But it felt better when I wore socks thick enough to fill the boot becuase my feet didn't move.

The shoe keeps your feet warm in cold weather (I wore them in -10 C) and in the snow and rain.

The biggest down side is the grip. It doesn't grip anything. So wet / icy / snowy surfaces make you feel unstable at first. It feels fine dry on surfaces. But when water is mixed in, you have to be careful because the tread is bumpy, but smooth.

But it does a good job trucking it through pure snow with no problem.

It's also quite heavy. I'm used to wearing converse religiously in all seasons for 10 years. So it took me getting used to the weight of this shoe on my foot a first. If you're used to heavier shoes, you will be fine.

The boot is a platform. So you stand tall in it. I'm 180 cm tall and felt like a giant for the first few...

Amazon Customer: Oh my gosh, I couldn’t happier with these boots, they are great! I have had Sorel boots in the past, but never like these. They are warm, light weight, and so cute. I have worn them out shoveling snow, and doing outside chores in deep snow, and frigid temps, and my toes never got cold. I couldn’t be happier! My husband commented about the boots, said “they must be comfortable and warm because you come in and you don’t take them off”. He was right! I did size down to a 7, I normally wear a 7,5 or a 8, and these fit perfectly. The best winter boot I have ever owned!

MK: I loved, loved, loved these boots--but they were clown sized, so back they went...

My normal size is EU 39-40 and I have somewhat wide feet plus always wear very thick socks in winter, so I bought a pair of 41s since there were no 40s in brown. I figured it would work, especially since I had measured my feet and double checked Sorel's size charts.
I shouldn't have taken a chance... They were absolutely humongous.

I had taken in account that I wanted to fit extra insoles, have room for thick socks--but they were still far too big. There was at still 1-1,5 cm to spare, while having thick wool socks and Sorbothane Double Strike insoles in, on top of the existing ones. They felt more like 43 or so... Considering the roomy construction of the boots, one is pretty likely to trip and break one's neck if lumbering around in an oversized pair of these.
Unfortunately I had to send them back and find brown ones elsewhere.

Jessie LV - Donc, Voilà Quoi.: I am so glad i purchased these boots. I have had a few pairs of Sorel before so i was confident of the size. I would say these are slightly bigger than the standard sizing but this is likely as they are designed for you to wear a thick sock with to keep warm on those artic days.

The laces are awesome, super easy to do up, easy to walk in and I am wearing them pretty much every day at the moment mostly because i love them not because it actually that cold in the UK yet.

As price and value for money goes, i bought my husband a real deal hard-core pair of snow boots last year and he loved them but they are very off-piste style boots, not great for walking to the shops even when it is super cold. This pair are much more useful for everyday use and are very appropriate for day to day use to pop to the shop as well as to go for a walk in the outdoors.

Palindrome3D: I have WIDE size 10 feet. The real wide, the kind that makes it impossible to ever find shoes that are comfortable for my toes and pads of my feet. My cousin just bought these and though doesn't have a wide foot herself said they seemed wide to her, and showed me a picture, recommending i look at them.
Sorels do not come in wide, at least these don't. I only gave them a chance because the toes of these boots look so squared off and rounded out. Because of the nature of boots and accommodating for a wide foot I did order a half size bigger (10.5) than I normally wear to be safe. So i'm not sure if a 10 would have been comfortable or not, these worked so i'm sticking with the 10.5.
As I was hoping, the shape of these boots give my toes the room they need. There is a slight hug in the arch area of my foot, but it is in no means uncomfortable, though I won't be doubling up on thick socks.
The Arch support isn't severe and does not bother my foot that mostly lacks an arch.
Often boots are not comfortable, so it was an added bonus that these are. There is a spring to the insole and sole of the boot. Unlike many of the department store "cheap" $60 dollar boots, that feel like...

dancer: So I read all the reviews... And got terribly confused. Some said.. 'Come up small' and some said 'order a size bigger'. I couldn't afford to order 2 pairs in different sizes, so since all my other Sorel's have come up rather generous, I ordered the UK 5 (I'm a 5.5) and it was the last pair at an advantageous price...
Now comes the odd bit. I have a very wide RIGHT foot, and the right boot fits totally fine widthwise if a tiny bit snug lengthwise (it'll stretch with wear..and actually already has as I write). However, the LEFT boot is narrower and smaller and is taking much longer to break in. Don't get me wrong; I'll persevere and WIN cos I love them but I'm confused. If it wasn't for the fact that the trader wanted an extra £50 for the next size up....I might have gone down that route, but strangely I felt that hanging in here might just save me a bit of cash. I know. I'm a cheapskate. But one boot is definitely smaller all round than the other...
The boots are gorgeous. They're actually good to walk in, are warm, waterproof, comfy (at last) and look stupendous. But their biggest saving grace is the weight. My last pair of Sorel's (snowboots) were like walking with bricks...
